lol I wave "Hang Loose" at Z people all the time because I'm used to it. My first car was a Jeep Wrangler.

I do the Jeep wave to this day and found myself waving to other Z's...............it only made my wife laugh at me for being a nerd. Heck most Jeepers didn't wave back but Z owners never do.

With me it's always hit or miss. I'd say it's always been about 50/50. My girl laughed at me once for it. Said "aww that's cute... it's like a mini bro-mance". I had to school her on the history behind the Z. Anyways, it happens. I've noticed that it especially happens w/ silver Z. I'll keep my hypothesis for that one to myself, but suffice to say that unless I personally know the person, I don't even bother w/ silver Zs anymore. But hey, you'll always get a wave or a flash back from this guy, if I don't wave or flash first. It shows knowledge of what you're driving, and appreciation for it's heritage... maybe that's just me

most Z's i come across my area go from normal driving to some sort of aggressive racing type of driving. its as if they see a Z and think "i gotta race this guy" or "i gotta show this guy what our car is made out of"
kinda weird but i can live with it lol

For me, I think of it more as a brotherhood like, "Oh snap that's a clean Z ima roll with it!" or "WTF did he do to that Z?!"

eghfhhh there's so many Z's here in socal its not even funny. So not. I have done it on other cars like an old school 240z that was matte black, and a nice s2000. 350z are a dime a dozen here.
