Default Received a recall notice today what's this about?? *Update* new info

It says your "350" automobile has an open recall on it. We urge you to either call or come in and allow us to repair your "engine no start" at no charge.

I'm confused because I hadn't heard about this on the boards lately. I only remember the large Nissan recall that was supposed to happen in Japan some months ago.

Could someone please clarify.

Thanks

Is this what it's refering too:

NTB02101

If the Body Control Module (BCM) is replaced on any 2003 350Z or Murano, the following must be completed before returning the vehicle to the customer: For all vehicle ignition keys: · NATS "C/U Initialization," · Key Registration. For all key fobs: ·Key Fob ID Code Entry/Key Fob Setup Instructions. NOTE - Failure to complete these three procedures will result in an engine no-start incident and inoperative key fob. See this bulletin for detail.

No, I am sure it is the crank angle sensor recall that you received. The above was for interior lights not working . . .but it is just noting upon replacement that the keys and remotes need to be reprogrammed.

Look here

Nissan was supposed to send out recall cards in December. It looks like you just received yours.

The last time I was at the dealer, I asked about the large crank angle sensor recall. They said even though the recall lists the Z, it is only because it has the VQ35. The Z's in Japan are supposed to be recalled but not the ones in America?!?! Well, this is what the dealer's service agent said. Personally, I am not sure I believe it. I will wait and see. I am not having any issues. If I did, I would know it (z would no workie).

does anyone know what is involved? The service guy told me it will takes an hour to an hour and a half to change. I was curious if they had to jack the car up and he said nope.

What's kind of surprising to me is the service center that I always go to "didn't" send me the notice. I went to this other dealership to ask them a question and they put my information on record...
