Default How much HP can be had via NA mods?

I'm new on the Z scene....not even an owner as of yet. I'm curious as to the potential value (RWHP) of NA "bolt-on" type mods that are available, and their average cost?

Can some post a few...the more the merrier... The mod, the expected rwhp bump, and the associated cost...

Thanks in advance!

Well, there is a search button, and I believe there was an excel project done about this, but I believe the leader, NA, was 305 HP rwhp.

Someone will respond soon to verify/debunk my memory.

Thanks, i'm aware of the search button....but i figured given the broad range of things that could apply, it would be easier if someone could post it, or perhaps direct me to a prior thread with the same subject. I wouldn't even know what to search on to cover what i'm looking for... Thanks though!

Headers, hi flow cats, exhaust, CAI, plenum, pulleys and ecu should get you to at least 260-270 for bolt-ons depending on where your baseline started. Here is the list of N/A cars.

I think the list is a little out of date, but you will get the idea.

The list is as up to date as the PMs and postings. No one has done anything else apparently!

Here's another link. Maybe 310-340 rwhp will be outer limit for daily street driven car.

Hugest HP gain claim i've seen was a 500 total HP Z @ SEMA. It basically had everything. I'm sure it's decals even added a few HP.

I totally agree. Not worth it, if you ask me.

this is rear wheel HP, not base HP isn't it? Our engines are supposed to be 287HP, but once it gets down to the wheels it's significantly lower (not sure of the exact number).

In other words, it's more than 30 HP.

Yup if your getting 300 to the wheels your N/A car is a beast and you will obviously feel the difference.

hey Ultimate...I recognize you from DTM. I've been lurking 'round here, I'm contemplating a jump from my e36 M3 to a Z. Perhaps you can PM me with your thoughts on your move thus far? I dunno if the Z replaced your car, or if you just added it to your stable, so to speak. Either way, your opinion would be appreciated.

thx

I think 300 WHP from a NA V6 is really good.

Whats up,
Yup I had my old 3 series for about 3 years and in that time Ive driven them all, e36 M3, E46 M3 330ci. The change is at first very very different in teh way the car is built inside and out and the way the car feels while driving. Personally I absolutely am in love with my Z and havent looked back yet. I know of some members on here have sold there e36 M for a Z and love there Z's.
