Coupe Vs. Convertible
It is funny though to listen to so many folks that can't differentiate between personal opinion and fact -- which is generally the mark of someone under 25 years old
! Not flaming anyone, but years on the 'net have taught me that younger folks are very insecure about their choices, so they tend to attack those choices that differ from the ones they made. It's neither good or bad -- it's just a maturity issue which we ALL either went through or are currently going through. If you're in the latter group, you'll deny what I said and probably flame the hell out of me, which is fine by me -- I have VERY thick skin. But in a few years you will agree with me 100%, because we have all been there at one point in our lives. Now I'll just go back to stowing my hair gel and spray tan in my Grandma car so I can drive around in a thoroughly douche-like manner while grinning like an idiot (and has it ever occured to the vert-bashers WHY vert-drivers always have that sh**-eating grin on their faces?? Come on, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure it out. Go drive one and you too will be grinning ear-to-ear!).
And some of you are going to be REALLY embarassed when you get smoked by a "Grandma car", lol!!!!
But this is one thing that I LOVE about Z-drivers in general --- they are very passionate about their cars, and most can take crap just as well as they can give it out. It's all in good fun
. If you drive a Z, whether a coupe, roadster, nismo, or even one of those silly looking monstrosities with the ridiculous body kits and graphics, your ok by me!!! If we weren't passionate about our Z's we wouldn't be here in the first place -- we'd all drive Camry's and Accords
.
Exact opposite in the southeast. I know in metro Atlanta, condition and age being equal, a vert runs about 20% to 25% more (at least). I can buy coupes for $8K to $12K all day long. You won't find a vert (unless it's a total POS) for anywhere near that low. I would think the opposite might be true in the northeast simply due to weather, but I've never bothered to check.

It's funny, but several of the guys that I've had the strongest arguments with about car stuff ended up being the most fun to hang out with at ZDayz, etc.
EDIT: "He who shall not be named" comes to mind… too bad he didn't make it to ZDayz this past year.

Don't know how it would look/work with the new body style, but I 'd like to see T-Tops again. To me, the elongated look of the back on the Roadster and the less than perfect curvature of the ragtop, when it's up, look odd. I guess I'm just used to the hatch.
It's still a hot car, regardless.
