Default I didn't realize how similar these are...

Take a look at the side views of the 350z and the Infinity G35 coupe. I knew the two ware built with the same engine/platform, but I didn't realize how similar they are in size and styling. Take a look:

There's two reasons why I prefer the Z over the G:

1. Note the higher hood profile on the G, makes the car look taller.

2. The G's headlights are much uglier than the Z's, in my opinion.

Still they are both great cars. If I couldn't get a 2 seater, the G would be my choice easily.

I think the G35 coupe will be a great car, but I don't think they are necessarily competitive with each other. The G is taller, heavier, doesn't have any STB and has an automatic transmission. The Z is a sports car, pure and simple.

The lexus is not similar in cost FalGra. The lex is really puffy looking, but man what an interior it has.

It's the rear end of the cars that really separate the Z for me. I like the front of both, maybe the G's a little more, although it wouldn't be agressive or hard-lined enough for the Z. I've seen them both in person at the auto show, and the G is sweet but the Z is so much sportier and aggressive. Since most everyone here on these forums are true enthusiests, I think no one will regret choosing the Z.
