First of all whats up i am new to this site!
I just need a little bit of advice from somebody who has a turbo or at least know what they are talking about with turbos.
I want to rebuild my block and my heads. Eventually get a twin turbo set up and push upwards of 600hp. I know its expensive and i am willing to do it because i love my car and i will probably have it for a longgggg time so its worth it to me.
I ordered true dual exhaust 2.5in piping and I am wandering if i should just cancel my order and wait until i get my turbo and get 3in piping exhaust? I am not real sure how turbos connect up to the exhaust but i just dont want to waste this much money if i am going to need to change/ or remove this exhaust in the future when i go tt.
I can still cancel it before it ships out so i need advice asap cause thats about 1300 i could put towards my block.
Thank you!

Lol if you don't know the answer then why even post? Oh cause you like making people who don't really know a lot about a certain subject feel bad about themselves? First of all, I do love my car and I just want to build it and make it as fast as I can because I have an interest in cars. Second of all, of course this is a "dream" I'm sure not everybody has enough money to just buy 15000 dollars worth of parts the very next day after they buy a new car. I know this will be a project but that's why I want to do it and it will be fun in my opinion. And third, I have searched for "exhaust on a turbo" and "what size exhaust is for good power on a turbo" all over g35driver.com, 6mt.net, and now this site and having found anything "even in your two posts you gave me" about exhaust sizes for FI and which works the best. So thanks for all wasting your time trying to be *** holes so other people will read the post and lol because some guy on the internet tried bashing another guys hobby. That post helped on what turbo setup I could go with and how single and twin differ but nothing about exhaust setups with FI

we all love our cars...
thicker skin man…get used to it...
There are quite possibly endless combinations on setups…my advice would be to buy 'kits' that have been specifically designed for the model of z you have…don't go and start piecing things together - it's possible but it'll be a big pain in the ***...

All the turbo kits should bolt up to most exhausts. The only difference usually is the headers unless you have an STS turbo kit which then is a totally different story. Just research the kit you want to buy.

Just snag a vortech kit and run it on your stock block. Plenty of fun, streetable power to be had with a little room to grow if you want to up the power later on.
Turbo on a built block = $$$ and that's just the engine. What about the rest? Do you have the newer CD009 transmission? Clutch/Flywheel to handle the power? What about suspension and brakes to keep the thing on the road? At LEAST a factory VLSD? Cooling upgrades? Methanol? What about tuning? You on stock wheels and tires?
As you can see, there are tons of variables that come into play when you talk about that kind of power. I'm looking to go for a vortech on my stock block, but I've still got plenty of things in line to get my Z prepared (up to my standards) for the extra power.
Best of luck
