Default Why did you want/buy a Z?

I’m curious about the reasons influencing readers here to buy/own or want to buy a Z. --Spike

because of it's potential to be a great second place car!

lol

on a serious note at the time it was "looks" wise nothing at it's price range on the road...along with driving it hooks you right in as an awesome entry level sports car.

I can rant on and on...

I instantly fell in love looking at the Z for the first time. I bought it mainly because of its looks.

Not many options back in '05, only RWD cars I wanted at the time was the s2k or 350z. The VQ along with the stock exhaust note and not wanting another Honda did it for me.

owned at 76 280 back in the eighties and figured it was time to get another one.
not a daily driver, just wanted something else to keep in the garage other than a sand rail that was never used and still isn't getting used.

Started with a 260Z, then a 280Z, and finally a 350Z, with other cars in between. The looks, possibilities for doing things to it, mods, kits, etc., the price was very good for the type of sporty car, and just plain like it over any other car in it's range.

Pretty much what others were saying. I wanted an affordable, RWD sports car that looked good. Bought the first Daytona Blue Z that hit my local dealers lot back in '03. Upgraded to the HR in '07.

My '8 was bought to function as my wife's daily driver/winter beater so the Z06, the Boss 302, & the Solstice GXP can hibernate in winters away from salt and the elements.

I wanted a fast and a furious car thats cheap lol

Nah seriously tho i fell in love wid it back in 2002 (i was 13 yrs old)when my friends dad brought home a red Z and i told myself ima get one some day that someday was december 2011. I was hunting down for Z and went to a dealership a shiny, sexy Z (black hr) was spinning on one of those things they have and i knew right there and then shes mine. Its defenitly worth the wait.

Owned a original 240...back in the day.
Bought it new.
The 240 then offered what no other make did for the bucks plus the looks.
Subsequent Z models just did not do it for me over the original.Although, the 300
twin turbo was interesting. When the 350 was being shown in the mags,I saw
what a great job Nissan did in bringing the 240 design elements in this new car.
Shopped dealerships in 02,saw the perfect combo,Silverstone&burnt orange in
a showroom.It was sold.Had to order one.Got it in about 3 months.The 350
just looks right from every angle.Affordable car to mess with without braking the
bank.Since I've always had several vehicles, bought the Z for my wife as a DD.
At 91k trouble free miles, still is.

1) I love Zs. After owning a 280 and 300 turbo, the 350 was the next logical step.

2) It is a great looking, high performing, reasonably priced sports car.

Wanted my 'dream car' FD Rx7...wife surprised me with a new 2003 350Z.

I learned the Z was a very fun car, cost less to maintain and looked really good!

The question is, why would one not want to buy a Z? It truly is one of the best looking sports cars out there for the price, and has the performance to boot.

I felt like there's already a thread for this. I wanted a Z because I used to watch a tv show called fast lane when I was little. They had a le mans sunset track edition on one episode so after that I always wanted the exact copy of the car on the show but I settled for a silverstone enthusiast since it's hard to find any le mans sunset colors where I live. --Jah
