So 3+ hours (plus parts) will be like.... $500 maybe?

Of course I do. I will check out that place in scottsdale, its near my work. Just seems cray to drop so much money for a "sensor" its depressing, especially when I desperatly need new rear tires (quoted $450) and new front control arms.

It was a quess, I know im going to get raped on the labor. And 3+ hours of labor wont be cheap, and they most likely will make me buy the part from them and then also rape me on that as well vs buying the parts online myself.

No offense, but if you didn't know what "lean" meant, you should stay out of your engine bay and leave it to professionals who specialize on the VQ.

Seems like a lost cause. Op, logout and trade in your Z for a civic tomorrow or take off the spacer and let another member in your area help to properly install it.

Ive openly admitted I am not a gear head and do not want to work on the engine and would rather have a professional do it.

OP, I didnt give you any flack man, I just tried to explain what I knew and how it works sort of.
There are always those who spend way to much time online and get a false sense of ego and attitude especially when they are bored and the only posts are ones they have seen a hundred times so they tend to be short and yeah sometimes rude.

Just ignore them, there are always good guys who will at least point you in the right direction and try to get you started.

You will always get flamed for not searching, that never changes on any forum.
Anyway you can learn a alot, use the boards, search your questions, google them, yahoo search, etc.. until you get the basics and have a clear understanding, trust me you will still have questions, but you will have all the basics and people can help you more when you do.

Anyway man, as I was saying, before you do a spacer or any other mods you really should learn more so you have a better grasp on what to expect from the mods you plan on doing, which will give you the most bang for your buck, etc..
Then make a list of things to do together, like air., pipes, and spacer, or wheels, spacers, shocks, etc.. things that work together.
Lastly I would listen and read more, ask and talk less until you get caught up on the lingo, the popular terms and mods and questions that keep coming up.
good luck man,
Lump

I tried being nice...

OP, I told you how to be accepted. You have no clue what you are doing. Stop trying to find the cheap way out. If you can't fix it yourself, pay to have it done properly. A half *** fix will only lead to more questions.

Im just gonna take it to the nissan dealership, have them run an obd2 reader and then go from there. Ill leave it in the hands of the experts. Im not gonna sweat the NATS issue as it has nothing to do with the performance of the car. Ill hold off on the control arms for as long as I can and drive like a grandma and save whatever tread I have left on the rear tires.

But first things first I need to get that knock sensor/harness checked out. Ill report back after I take it into nissan and get my Rape quote.

Op, don't ever touch the engine again until you let someone with of more mechanical aptitude fix it. From what I've seen so far I wouldn't trust you to even check the oil.

You arent very good at reading are you. I clearly have stated (multiple times now) that I do not like working on the engine and im 100% fine with letting someone who knows what they are doing work on it.

What I meant to add was don't do anything after someone else fixed it. Buy like some broken down car for 200 bucks and work on that to build some type of mechanical skill. You never know when the world ends and there's zombies coming to eat your brains. It will be a sad moment when you can't figure out how to get the car up and running or fixing a minor issue cause you don't know how to use tools etc. It's a useful skill to have. Think of the hundreds or thousands you'll save to get cocaine and hookers by working on the car yourself. You can't lose.
