My dad has multiple sclerosis and just turned 66. He was able to drive stick until he became wheel chair bound. It's always good when people enjoy sports cars later in life. I'm now driving his civic si and plan to keep it as nice as he kept it.
Hate to admit it but its auto. I learned on a stick and my last stick car was a 5 speed Honda Civic that I sold in 92 when we moved to Arizona. Decided on the auto because there may be times when my wife has to drive the car and she does not do well shifting manually. I don't regret it though. The auto is exceptionally smooth and quick and the car is still a pleasure even though I don't have total control over it.

I was considering doing the same but I am too OCD even though friends told me it was the best route.

Glad to hear that there's older people who don't look at the cars and give us "hooligans" disgusted looks!

Have a great 77th birthday. I love the saying in your signature, it is how I like to perceive life. You're only as old as you feel.
