Default Need key FOB for '05

My wife and I are on the brink of purchasing an '05 Z with everything we want except that it comes with two keys, but only one FOB. We need 2 FOBs.

Will the following work as a second FOB, without having to go to Nissan to get anything programmed?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COMPLETE...dbb811&vxp=mtr

I'd appreciate any other advice anyone might have about acquiring a second FOB as inexpensively as possible.

Thanks.

I have these. They come with instructions telling you how to program the FOB. You need to program the new and old FOBs.

Thanks very much! We'll likely have an '05 sitting in our garage tomorrow.

These work great, I had to replace one of my fobs recently, I lost it and one of my keys on a canoe trip.

Looks like Amazon has them for $7.99 shipped via Prime. Picking one up as well, as my car only came with one, too.

Just got mine today programmed in minutes and worked perfectly! I cannot image what the dealer would have wanted! I did not even ask.

Nice! And when you reprogram, that does both remotes at once , right - old and new?

Kind of! You have to cycle the driver door to unlock and lock again using the switch on the door for each remote you program. I did three that way two new and one old. Intructions were pretty straight forward though.
