Default 350Z jacked up from the wrong area

I took my 2005 Z in for new Volk rims to be put on. I should have stopped when they said the lift wasn't available and they would have to sue jacks, but I trusted them and sure enough...messed it up. They jacked it from between the lift rail/pinch rail and the inner frame when it's been lifted before.

Is this a problem? It's pushed in maybe a 1/2-1 inch.

I don't think the picture is the OP's car. It looks like a file shot with the areas in question circled.

I know. Are we supposed to guess what the actual damage looks like?

I dont think its going to make much of a difference... Wish my car was that clean on the underside. Minus the cut exhaust. That is basically the floor of the car, not the best place to be jacking but I guess thats what you get from some shady shop... Might wanna make sure those"volk rims" are actually volk wheels...

I always jack mine up at the pinch seam with a floor jack, at the same area where the scissor jack is supposed to be used. Never had any problem.

the pic is not my car, that's the best picture i could find of a bottom to point out the area

I put a flat board along that humped part to show the difference. you can see the jack pad.

I think it doesn't matter, just want to make sure it is nothing structural. I am not sure if that part of the floor/car is anything to worry about

So check your floor and make sure its level, if its like mine, it will be uneven (not flat floor). and then get that shop involved

You may be able to hammer it down from the inside using a wood block and sledge hammer, and then apply undercoating to any exposed metal on the underside to prevent rust.

Thanks, so it sounds like it is just nuisance damage, nothing that would affect driveability, etc?

I'm getting my hood painted this fall, The is a very detailed restoration shop semi-near me that will be painting it. I can ask him to correct it and freshen up the underside (rails, etc) while he's under there.
