Question Hidden upgrades

I've got a GT4 and want to try and keep the car as original looking as possible because I hate the customised look of cars (Much better stock). What hidden upgrades can I put in the car for those added 1%'ers. I am aware of the Plenum spacer and different air intakes filters

terrasmak is actually the closest to being right. It is a 350Z... Gran Turismo 4 version. It's a Europe ONLY version built in homage to the video game. It's actually the European version of the US spec Anniversary car of the same year. Featured the uprated Rev-up engine and was available only in black or yellow.

OP, best "hidden feature" in any Z car.... a good driver. Just add driving school.

Hey guys, haven't said it in a while so....

But yeah, besides that, good tires/wheels, suspension.

Suspension is certainly a good idea. Does anybody rate the Perelli P zero tyres for the 350z? Plus I am thinking about installing a rear no drill lip spoiler but I am worried that the removal in later years will ruin the original paint work, is this likely to happen?

On tires.... a lot depends on the particular P-Zip you're considering. There's like a dozen varieties (or so). I've not personally run these but given that I've run 3 of the 4 tires in this test (and pretty much agree with the assessment/test results), this might be a good indicator of what to expect:

S'far as the spoiler leaving marks, pretty much yes, you can expect the paint to be marred upon removal using 3M adhesive. But, hard to say whether or not it would actually break the paint. You'll definitely get paint mismatch (simply due to the surface under it being shaded from UV exposure; BUT the car may be old enough that any appreciable fading will have already happened) This'd be dependent upon how long the spoiler is installed.

Thanks for the quick update the website provided is very helpful.

I've also heard you can get the P Zero's with coloured walls, is this true? Because I can't seem to find any for purchasing online

You could also change your rear differential gearing. That's hidden. What transmission do you have? The 5AT or 6MT? If you have the 5AT(RE5R05A), you could also install the Transgo Reprogramming Kit as well. How mechanically inclined are you?

We don't have those, but several years ago I recall they were available with colored tread. Supposedly pulled from the market due to gang members using them to tag their territory with colored burnouts.

Hey Fudge, take a photo of the GT4 and post it. I'd love to see the thing - I didn't know that there was a GT4 version of the 350Z until yours popped up.

The best “hidden upgrades” in importance and usefulness:
  1. Suspension (upgrade springs and shocks, or switch to coil-overs). Be careful researching the components you select.
  2. Tires make a huge difference. Match the tires you buy to the driving conditions and style you experience.
  3. Wheels allow you to mount better-sized tires for your driving experience.

If you have a Rev-Up engine under the hood, go for the Motordyne MREV2 Lower Plenum + Spacer. Simple, easy, and stealthy bolt-on with the biggest gains (primarily torque) for the RevUp engine. After some tuning work, my Z gained 30+ ft/lb of torque when compared to the baseline runs.

Heres the car

It features the "Rev up" engine, not sure about the transmission. I believe the car has some extra badging which is located in the door wells but i am not sure if other 350z have those.

Wow, that's the first time I've ever seen a GT4 plague. Let alone a "GT4" version, I thought you were referring to something like a 35th Anniversary.
