Put the stock hood back on.

Are you worried about water seeing through when it is sitting? Or driving?
If sitting (assuming no garage), then use a car cover. If driving... Then, lol... Comment below said it all.

These carbon fiber hoods are most of the time for looks. In high performance, the vents may help with releasing heat... But yeah, pretty much for looks

Nothing. You have to drive around like that now.

There's a couple options:

- Replace with a solid one
- Replace with OEM, like Dean suggested
- Remove the galvanized mesh under the louvers and replace with sheet metal and seal the seams with Imperial hi-temp silicone sealant(I personally wouldn't do this, but you asked for options)
- Don't drive in the rain/snow
- Don't take it through a ''touchless'' car wash
- Don't hose-off your hood

I wonder what you were expecting, or not expecting with your vented hood?

The water isn't going to hurt anything, anyway. Most everything is water-resistant under the hood, and I wash my Z's engine somewhat often. I've owned a few cars with louvered hoods (Austin-Healey 100 and Jaguar XK-E) and those engines got wet on a regular basis, too. In those cases, a wet distributor, and cloth-insulated wiring did sometimes cause issues, but a modern Japanese engine will be fine.

I agree with you, Dean. I wash mine often too. What I don't like though is how the water pools in the valley around the knock sensor.

Thought some have rain-guards, but I'm guessing you don't have those. I don't know, why don't you post pictures?

People like to ask questions but never post pictures.
