HFC should u do if you need to replace cats
I have a bad cat or at least that’s what the P0430 code is saying. I tried to reset the code use some CRC cleaner and fresh 93 gas and it came back on. If I need to replace cat should I just go do HFC’s even if i don’t have any other mods besides intake. Does it harm anything to use existing exhaust?
Thanks

On the other hand, if you're planning other intake/exhaust mods and you have a clogged cat, go for it! BTW you need a OBDII scanner to delete codes. Gl!
Keep this in mind, if you have an issue with your cats being clogged or shattered it is due to running condition of the engine. Clogged cats most of the time is due to the engine running too rich either from needing a tune up or weak fuel pump. Shattered or melted cats is due to a lean condition which most commonly comes from Vacuum leak. Of course the are not all the cause but the most common. If the engine is running correctly the cats can last a very long time.
Make sure you diagose the real issue before you install a new set that will just fail the same way.
