Default Need any input on how to pull damaged water pump

So in the process of pulling my water pump on my 2006 350z I broke the upper ear of my water pump when tightening the m8 bolt to push out the pump. I've tried everything to get it out. Let me note I'm no mechanic. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome and sorry to hear about your problems. However, if you're tightening a bolt to remove a water pump and broke a section of the casting off, you definitely need some professional help before you damage it further. Take the car to a shop, or pay a tech to get the job done.

Also, the next time, try posting this kind of question in the "maintenance and repair" section where it belongs.

Actually, tightening the bolt IS correct. To remove the pump, you remove the (3) 6mm bolts and replace them with (3) 8mm bolts. You need to turn all of the bolts evenly or you'll break off the ears.

OP, were you using just one bolt, or three?

I stand corrected! But I stand by the belief that the OP needs a pro to finish this repair correctly.
