Good time to buy! I think I saw CZP with the invidia Gemini on sale 25% off, may even be able to knock more off with Black Friday code (not sure if they stack).

The most commonly recommended dual (as you can see from above) is Invidia Gemini.

But, in ascending order..

Invidia Gemini
HKS (and a whole aftermarket of replicas)
Stillen/Borla/Magnaflow - diff companies but I put them into the same general category and price range.
Motordyne TDX2

By far the most popular are the first and last.

This is just from this forum. There are many others that are below, in between, and higher in price. IMO, can't see spending more than the TDX2 for only marginal gains (unless you're boosted).

You also didn't mention if you're looking strictly catback or planning to lose the cats. That will make a big difference in overall performance gain.

decent price to be fair but still £1200 with delivery to the uk - can purchase from uk for same price next day delivery but not wanting to spend that amount + installation etc - was hoping for something around £800 or am I being unrealistic

The Invidia Gemini, Borla, and Stillen are all about the same level of sound. Slightly louder than stock, but not obnoxious. The TDX2, on the other hand, IS loud and changes the exhaust note pretty significantly.

There was a time when I bought my Gemini for less than $800 new, but that's clearly not the case anymore. If that's your price range, then it's time to search for used or knock off parts.

I had invidia with art pipes initially, then changed it out to the tdx2

If you don't want to spend the money for a Gemini then just consider getting a rep dual. They're not terrible but have heard it takes a little finessing to get them to fit exactly right.

Something like this one. You can probably find similar on eBay-UK I'd guess.

You asked about “twin pipe systems”. This isn’t a twin pipe setup. Just dual outlets like stock but louder.

tbh I’m not a car person at all / I do the basics … I thought twin pipe was my set up with two exhausts that’s all …

If your going to pay a shop to put the exhaust on for you maybe consider just having a exhaust shop put together an exhaust system for you.

Pretty sure if you go talk to a local shop they could put something together for you..

Maybe pick up a resonated x pipe and then 2 mufflers...

So, you're looking for a cheap option to make it louder and it doesn't have to be a true dual exhaust, but just retain the dual exits/outlets like OEM?

Sounds like some type of axle-back exhaust or, a resonator delete (cringe), is in your future.

I'll never understand this "let's get cheap parts for a car that used to cost $30k+"
I get being tight on cash but just because the car came down and costs a 3rd or less doesn't mean the aftermarket parts will do the same, on the contrary they are going up!
Don't have money, save up otherwise you will end up spending more later, and be stuck in a "just for now" scenario. I spent way too much doing that, glad the exhaust I liked for my DD was only a grand, which is a 3rd of my Zs CBE.
