Default What tire size should I run for a 100-200tw track setup.

Hey guys, my name is Gabe. I am currently going through a pretty big project with my 2003 350z. I’ve been doing some track days for about a year now, just small things like open track days, and other unrelated events like spectators drags and touge runs up at the dragon. It’s always been a big dream of mine to get into track racing. So I went through some research of what I need to get into SCCA time trail events. And what I’ve realized is that due to my car being wide-bodied, I get put in classes with 600hp fully built track beasts. With that information I had two options, remove the body kit and compete in lower classes, or keep the body kit, and find some more power to keep up with the big boys in the max classes. And so the project began. The project of turning my daily driver into a track beast to compete in max classes. So with all that being said, something I’ve been thinking about is a good tire size for the power I plan to put down and the wheight goals of my car. Currently I’m running a 265/295 staggered set up on 19s. But I’d like to find a set of squared 18s for the track days. My original plan was to run 315-335 tires on those 18s, however I’ve heard as much as 275 will be plenty. So my question is, what do you guys think the best tires width/ratio will be for my z. The project consist of an aluminum block 5.3 swap, and some serious weight reduction. When the project is said and done, my goals are 400whp, 50/50 wheight distribution, and sub 3000 lbs. so with that info and maybe unnecessary back story, what do you guys think the best tires setup will be for my car. Thank you
