Default Zaino --response to 'cheap'

Zaino stresses that you should wash the car with liquid Dawn to remove wax buildup. (I never did, since it was a new car)

ClayBar the car. Use PLENTY of the Z7 car wash to lubricate, or you will really be sorry. (Note: ClayMagic is just as good and can be purchased locally)

Apply the Z1 per directions.

Apply the Z2 over the Z1.

Let dry completely. I let it sit in the garage overnight.

Wipe entire car. The polish will come off easily.

Before applying the next coat, wipe the car down with Z6 Gloss Enhancer. Two or more coats will amaze you.

The ZFX Accelerator only shortens the drying time. If you can wait 8-10 hours or overnight, you do not need the ZFX.

Either way, this stuff is GREAT.

The ZFX replaces Z-1, so we wouldn't have to purchase both of those items. Plus the drying time will be greatly reduced, which is good for those of us without garages (like me!). Living in an apartment complex w/ lots of trees (hence lots of sap, lots of leaves, lots of birds), a faster drying time is a good thing. If no one objects, I think I will press on with the package I've outlined.

A very reputable retailer (www.rpm-mustangs.com) is going to try to use this gp as his opportunity to become an authorized e-tailer, so we should pretty much get the Zaino at or near cost, + shipping.

Well, just heard back from my potential supplier, and here's what he had to say after talking to Sal Zaino...

well holy sh*t. i don't think any supplier has ever said this to me...
here's a summary.

sal zaino:
i'm not setting up any new distributor accounts, i put a freeze on that 6
months ago.
to tell you the truth, distributors are a pain in the ***.
i may set up new distributor accounts in a few months after i evaluate the
ecommerce possiblities, but i may never set up new distributors.
i'll tell you there are restrictions to being a distributor, though, and
that is that there can be no internet solicitations.
[i then asked if since i have a website i wouldn't be able to sell it on
there and he said yes, no internet sales]

whoa. pass that on or quote it or whatever, sorry dude.

Others may have had a different experience but I participated in a Zaino GP through another forum and the deal was you received a free Z7 (the carwash) after you bought 3 or 4 other items at regular price not including the applicators or the inexpensive items.

well here's what my pop had to say:

-Quote-

Zaino gives out distributorships based on region. They like to keep their distributors about 100 miles apart. I tried to become a distributor but the DFW area has two already. I bought mine stuff from the one at a 15% discount, which is not much, and had to agree to sell it at list price. They are really touchy about the sell price.

You may want to contact Sal at Zaino Bros directly. I think that would be the best way to go. I doubt you will get any kind of deal, but call him directly.

-End Quote-

this sounds like what FalGra is doing, or somehow work the thing out so that the group can get the stuff at the 15% off from your local dealer and just not mark it up for club members or something, or do it on a local basis.

Hello,I would like to order your products online, however, your web presence is pretty limited. Do you folks need some assistance getting something together? I could put you in touch with a local Microsoft representative who could assist you.

Thanks again for your offer, but I have everything under control...
