Welcome to board
In my opinion the Z is a very safe, I saw some pictures of a Z that had rolled a few times and the driver and passenger were both OK.
And about insurance, will I’m 32 and I’m paying $1,800 annually. And I have a clean record. By the way I’m in Saudi Anyway, there was a thread some time back about this, make a search for insurance.
Good luck,
Az

Completely stock
I waiting on a Twin Turbo by a company called Ultimate Racing. I like their kit because it uses an intercooler like other kits, but it retains the bumper reinforcement bar.

I think the Z is pretty safe espeically if you get it with VDC and side air bags. Exactly how safe depends on how you drive. Your insurance is probably going to be very high.

the Z is safe, but you cant act like a dumba$$ and expect VDC to save your but. Im 19 with perfect driving record and full insurence is $2300 a year but its worth every dime.
