Default Got a call from Nissan...and Engineers are coming here to see me.

Well...my dealer called and my car has the first fluk...and nissan is sending its engineers from california to take apart my car and look at the issue.....I dont know if this is good or bad...I reported the Service Engine Soon light and power loss that has been happening since I got the car. Well... It seems its enough for them to get me a rental car and fly some nissan engineers to see whats up so now im alittle worried. They also told me they are gonna check out the bose too and anything else since they are gonna be here. I'll take pics if I can.

Damn I knew my luck would put me as a test pig.

I'll keep you updated. I just called them back and waiting for them to return the call.

That stinks.... let us know how things go. One question, I read through some of the post, but how often has it come on, and is it always after "spirited" driving???

Make sure they do the doughnut test while they're at it.

Well look at it this way. Y ou will be have to do without your Z for a while, but you get a rental, so not that big a deal. What you do get is a Z that is going to be totally combed over by Nissan engineers to be sure that everything is perfect.

Just trying to see the bright side of things.

Yeah, but he's going to be without his Z for possibly a few weeks... at the end of that time period, the "newness" will be wearing off... Good luck Abyss...

Default Whatelse are they giving you?

Its great that they are coming to fix the problem, and giving you a rental, but thats what is expected of any car under warranty. So what else are they going to compensate you with? Money, Stuff, supercharger?

I have this problem as soon as I got my Z from the dealer and took them 4 days to find out that the only thing they have to do is unplug the harness to reset.

Was your local Nissan service dept. able to get any feedback from their Consult? (That's the Nissan term for the computer they hook up to your OBD II port)
They should be able to get standard OBD II messages back which will outline the problem (somewhat).

Just curious...

Argh! That really sucks man. sorry to hear that... I hope everything works out.

Don't let them scratch anything when taking your Z apart!

Jason,

Sorry to hear about the issue not being resolved. I wonder what they will say about the 156mph top speed reading in the ECU.

I am sure you will keep us posted.

Thanks, as always,

JD
