swooshing, whoosing sound?????
hello,
my '04 Roadster Enthusiast
has only 3700 miles on it
and everytime i coast from 40mph to 0mph
I hear this woooshing sound from the tires??????
when i recieved the car at 50 miles on the odometer
it would coast very quietly, now i hear the
tires whoooshing when i'm slowing down??????
its gotten louder ever since and now the
sound is constant when i'm slowing down?????
it sounds like a bearing from my old
car when it needed to be changed, but this can't
be, the Roadster is NEW! the tires sound
very much the same as a bearing being replaced....
is it the tires?????
what is this???????
i have a appointment with My Nissan Dealer
in the following weeks and what shall i tell them?????
switch the front tires??????
please HELP!!!!!

Sounds like the dreaded tire feathering issue. See https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=69866
I was hoping that it would be fixed for the 04s but apparently some 04s still have the problem.

feathering
my dealership is changing my front two tires tomorrow, and
they are also doing a 4wheel alignment also....
i'll repost when it is all done.....
right now it is horrible inside.....
from 40 mph to 0 mph coasting,
seems like (sounds like) there is a dead
spot on the front two tires and its growling
and howling,,,,sounds horrible when my top
is up from the inside cabin......
