I am looking at making a jaunt up to SA over the next week and will be getting the clear bra put on my car.

I know there has been some talk about getting together and getting it done as a group. Has anyone followed up on that? I can do that if needed. I am just in a panic trying to make sure I don't get any chips on my car before I make this trip.

Just let me know if you want to get together on this before that magic rock flies up from behind that nasty Suburban you see everyday.

Also, any get togethers planned for next weekend?

i am heading to xpel on saturday 10/5 for my appt at 11am. i spoke with mike (the installer there at xpel.) you may want to call and ask him if he has any open slots before or after...

i will be driving down from DFW, probably leaving around 6:30am to give myself enough time.

in case anyone is wondering, i am getting my hood and bumper re-done there due to a horrible install locally here in dallas. the shop won't do anything for me, so i am getting it done right, from the source!

ps: the shop is actually listed on xpel's preferred installers. here is there info. they did a terrific job on my tint, but i dont think they can handle hard installs of xpel kits...please avoid them for the install.

I planned to contact Reflex Enterprise in San Antonio (referred to by 350zfreak as THE xpel installer in SA) for the installed price of the kit and group discount, but recent posts on installation problems let me to put this whole clear bra thing on hold until more information is available.

yes, Mike (the guy who trains all of the xpel dealers in the country) is doing mine.

 

Who is he? I'd like to know whom to ask for when I call down there to set up my appointment. How much are they charging? Thanks bro.... We all want to know how much we should be spending in SA.

 

Michael, that is the same date I am looking at. I will call tomorrow to check on appointment times. Hopefully, they still have some and one of our cars will just give them that much more experience.

Al, yep, I remember the thread but nobody seemed to be moving on it so I am getting it done one way or another in the next week or so. I will call them for a group of 5 as I don't see enough people banging down the door yet and there aren't too many with their Z yet.

I will post the results of my phone call tomorrow and see if there is enough interest. It will be worth it for me either way. The rock chips was one of the main reasons that I sold my 300Z.

 

Besides, skidazzle, I want to check out the tint.
