I seriously considered one. Also a Saturn SKY Redline.
My problem was I didn't fit in the s2000 very well and I didn't fit in the SKY at all. The Z has SO much room and the seats sit so much lower, it was just perfect.
In the SKY, I couldn't see stoplights because of the A pillar being too low. I had to hunch over all the time and I could see that getting annoying. The s2000 was similar. I just wasn't comfortable.
The looks were the selling point. I think the Z is one of the best looking cars I could afford.
i have both cars, race them both........ and you sir are WRONG.
please elaborate! stock for stock in the S rapes the Z in the twisties, mabe a Z with suspension work. All mine had for suspension was t1r b-max 52 coilovers and let me tell you, its not a competition. yes the Z has much more torque but the S DOES handle better, thanks
I owned a 2008 S2000 CR before i bought my Z. The car handled amazing, and the transmission was awesome, but thats it. Its horrible for a DD. THe car is so uncomfortable, bumpy, and small that it was horrible. It was great on the highway on smooth surfaces, but otherwise it just wasnt for me. I did a 1:1 trade for the Z and love this car a million times better. Doesnt handle as well but thats fine. If you want a convertible i would recommend the S2k cause the Z conv is ugly, but the CR my hard top was on most of the time and it felt clostrophpbic. My 2 cents..
i looked at the s2000, and drove one before i got my z. the 9k rpm s2k's are pretty nice and fast to boot, but i think the amenities of the 350z are much better, it's really a great car to drive around. even 5 years later i still love my stock z.
I didnt say street racing.... you idiot both cars are built for timeattacks. both cars have won in nashville and st louis racing in the redline events.
