350Z vs S2000
I liked driving the S2k, it made you feel incredibly nimble and light, but at the same time I never truly felt underpowered, (you know as it IS a manual and you can down-shift) but theres something about the Z that just took my breath away. When I got into my friends 350z, (he had the whole Nismo package on his) and I heard that engine fire up....Oh my god. I wanted to cream myself. Upon driving it, I'm pretty sure I did. It felt solid, and powerful. Everything I was looking for. It handled and it moved and I was even more determined to have one. I am on my way to buying one, slowly but surely...
I hope I'm not thread revving.

Prior to deciding on 350Z Roadster, I test drove S2000, Z4, and 350Z. My impressions were as follows.
Honda S2000 -
Pros:
- comfortable fit
- cockpit feeling, with all controls within easy reach
- power top opens very quickly
Cons:
- a little tight on interior space (and I am not a large guy)
- have to keep rpms up to get reasonable power out of it
- will probably be somewhat uncomfortable on extended freeway drives
- silly vinyl convertible top cover is a hassle to put on
- digital instrument panel can be hard to see in direct sunlight
- subdued exterior styling
BMW Z4 -
Pros:
- nice exhaust sound
- BMW brand?
Cons:
- questionable ergonomics
- uncomfortably low sitting position
- somewhat bumpy ride on imperfect payment
- strange styling takes a little getting used to
Nissan 350Z Roadster -

Pros:
- plenty of power in every gear
- best compromise between handling and comfortable ride
- great exhaust sound
- comfortable fit in a relatively roomy interior
- best overall styling (in my opinion) and available colors variety
- lots of standard features (best bang-for-the-buck quotient)
- nicely integrated automatic convertible top cover
- lots of available aftermarket accessories
Cons:
- armrest and cup holders positioned a little too far back
- blind spot with the top up, have to rely primarily on mirrors
Overall, I did not like the BMW that much. Although it drove well, I just could not get into a comfortable driving position in it. 350Z had an overall edge, but I did like the S2000 also, primarily due to the most comfortable (but a little tight) fit of the interior.

i thought they were pretty badass until i raced one this weekend at the 1/4 mile track. 2 different drivers, non of em could break 14's. I ran 14.1-14.2 the whole night. The S2k didnt do better than 15.0.... from what i understand the S2000 says it can do 13.9 in the 1/4 but i've never seen anything close to it.

Don't forget about the Kia Rio and Hyundai Accent
Here's something Kia dreamed up...called the "Sidewinder" (WON'T be manufactured)....definitely NOT a chick car...but it does look like it has a rocket motor on the back for those straight-away blasts on the Bonneville Salt Flats..lol

She actually lives we me now and have loaned the car to a family member so I've only been it a for a short ride.
When we go out with the kids we take the Accord, and the Z when we're alone.
But honestly, I can't wait to get the Bug back because it's a 5 speed and I'd like to see how fun it is to drive. I won't be RIDING in it because when we go places I always drive. She insists on it.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't buy one but the chicks I've know that drive them tend to be hot and/or really cool.
I considered the S2000 for a while before I bought my 350Z. The interior is SO SMALL that you really wouldn't want to use it as a daily driver. Also, the 350Z is much more fun to drive because of the bigger engine. The power on the S2000 was ok, but the 350Z is much more fun!

Not sure if RX8, S2K, and Mustang belong on the above list, but definitely can't forget the Audi TT. All those round curves make it look like a Beetle... that has been stepped on and flattened a little. Definitely a girlie-looking car.
