Time to bump this thread back to the top. j/k

How were you guys finding out the shipping dates for the ships from Japan and when they left and when they were expected to arrive in Vancouver? Now that I've got my VIN (showed up at sea Oct. 26th), I'd like to see how far I can narrow the wait down.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I heard 700-800. Origionally it was 600. This may have changed since the info I heard this from was a V.P. of Nissan Canada (Bill Porter) who has since left the company.

Hey ballz, were you driving around 120th and 72nd on the weekend in your Z? I was going north on 120th and saw a sweet black Z heading east on 72nd. Gave the drive a honk but wasn't sure he saw me. Was that you? There was my Silverstone Z, a Black Z and right behind it was a yellow Vette convertible.

Good to know. The Z is great, you will love it for sure, but IMO there are TOO many white Z in Vancouver.

There was a glacier pearl one in the lobby of Vancouver General Hospital in November. Its one of the prizes in the VGH home lottery. I believe she was a touring (auto) but it did have a fin on it.

I've seen the normal white on the road (but not up close) and this did look different. Very nice and intricate color!

Default One more thing...

Wotnot, I remember you saying you were dealing with New Pacific Nissan (I got mine from them). Just for your interest's sake, I thought I'd share the timeline of my car's shipping.

They called me on November 1st and told me that my car was at sea as of October 26th. (I believe they download new reports on delivery status on Fridays there) The car arrived in port on November 7th. But due to the long weekend, I didn't get to pick it up from the dealer until November 12th. (that was a tough weekend waiting!)

Anyways, just thought it might be of interest to ya.

Just wait until you get "The Call" that its in, you get to the dealer and its YOUR car sitting there. I tried to play it really cool while as the dealer but I'll admit, as soon as I drove off that lot I was hooting and hollering inside the car.

The dealer offered my my deposit back plus some more $$ if I didn't take the car. They'll have people lined up to buy that thing if someone backs out. Three of the six people that got their cars before mine apparenlty backed out and the dealer sold the cars for a nice, nice profit.
