Now dont get me wrong, I'm not knocking the Z33. Its just, if you're planing on building a Stage III Z (intake, exhaust, chip), a TT Z32 would be your choice.

So, whats your take on a Z33 VS Z32. Coming from a Z32 owner to a Z33 site, this should be interesting...

Z32 is a great car. I've cruised with a bunch of'em.
Played chase in the canyons with a TT all day.
Never got close to him

I see loads of'em here in SoCal.

350Z. Next generaton Z car. Awesome car. No factory Turbo but add an after market one and you have a sick car.

I see loads of'em here in SoCal

Bottom line. The Z Heritage Continues.

i like the z32 tt alot but it's getting pretty long in the tooth. i just couldn't bring myself to drive a car with a 14 yr old design....even though admittedly it was far ahead of its time.

z32 looks more menacing than the z33...

There is only one FI Z33 here in Utah, and even then its just driven on the road, and doesnt race. Its a blue Stillen Superchareged btw. I test drove a 350Z back when they first came out...I need to re-test drive one. I like them alot more once I joined this forum.

Just try finding a good Z32TT will less than 70K miles on it. I looked for one for a year and couldn't find one that hadn't been wrecked. Adding back in the maintenance costs on a +75K mile car makes the numbers a lot different.

Also, why would you compare the 1991 price? To make it more even, you should take the last year of production. so the price of the Z32 is closer to $45K.

I'm not knocking hte Z32 either, I owned 2 of them, and was seriously looking for another TT when the Z33 was announced.

Just couldn't find a good example.

They are both awesome cars, and even tough you can get more HP for less money with the Z32, the Z33 has the current bling bling factor that the Z32 doesn't have now, it just gets the looks.

But I loved putting an M3 in its place with the Z32 the other day, even though mine is just stage 2 they were mocking me at the light so I had to show them and it was fun.

One more important factor: there was no ragtop version of the Z32 . T tops just aren't the same.

You need to look more then one year for a good deal on a TT Z32. They DO come up, but they sell faster then the Paris Hilton sex tape.

How about intake exhaust chip comparo then?

First, I respect Z owners of ALL generations. We are all brothers.

But you are comparing ‘apples vs. oranges’. There is no correct answer to the question.

The Z32 is an awesome car, stock or modified. The 350 is an awesome car, stock or modified. The Z33 is just the ‘next’ Z today. Tomorrow will come the Z34, and this discussion will start all over.

I’m just glad that Nissan improved the Z this time instead of taking the Z ‘backwards’ as it did with the 280ZX in the ‘80s. Automotive technology has really advanced the last 20 years. And the Z33 is a reflection of the technology of our time. The Z32 was an example of the cutting edge of it's day. The 350Z is just an amazing, powerful car -- and WITHOUT having to use a twin-turbo.

Bottom line, with the Z, it’s all good.

For me, I wouldn't want a car that is heavier than the Z33. The Z32 is a lot heavier. On track even though some highly modified Z32tts will blow by me in the straights, I reel them in on anything twisty. A lot of this is subjective, but for the cars in the pits that are supposedly "350+, 400" to the wheels, I'm not that impressed with on a road course. If I was putting down the same numbers there would not be many street prepped cars out there that could touch it. I think of the Z32 as more of a grand tourer than a sports car. The Z32s were more of japanese muscle cars than the Z33. Don't get me wrong, they were ahead of their time, but they were against the original Z formula of affordable light sports cars. (I'm not saying the Z33 is light, just lighter.)

I'd take a z33 over z 32 any day, but the 300zx was better for it's time then the z33 is for our time.

Also, slap on a Greddy turbo, and all the advantages of a z32 are gone, except $$$$$$.

Omer.

but when you swap to a bigger turbo on the Z32, well, you know.......

I think both are great cars, but Z32 definately has the power advantage especially after mod.

However, power is not everything. Z33's cornering ability and handling definately has upper hand, especially the track model.

First I like both the Z32 and the Z33. The Z32 was the first Z car I had ever drive(ex-girlfriend). Z32 still looks sporty today and not to mention it is the only Z we got to keep the Supra and NSX's of the world off our backs.

Both are great cars. I'd love to see the new one with some type of T-Top or Targa-type roof, one day.

The targa top is one of the options that made the Supra so great. Excluding the engine, of course.
