A dream come true (8:30-1 with a Z)
Yes we have problems when it comes to football (and other things)! HaHa. They also had a M3, it was said that the M3 had more power but the Z felt better. The M was a little ragged out so a fair comparison of power train, etc is difficult.

At least this time around it looks like the rims were clean (as they have been extremely dirty in every other pic we've seen). Or maybe it's just because it's not a close up of the wheel

Yeah, I would assume the M3 would feel faster. Considering the 6-speed M3 does 0-60 in like 4.6 seconds I would not assume the Z would feel as quick. I would think it should feel quicker than a Boxster S however.

While we wait, some more details. The coolest thing I found out was the windows go up and down as the door opens and closes. It obtains a perfect seal. One of the testers was 6'7-6'8. He was a little cramped but he said it was just fine for him. My golf clubs will not fit. . .damn. I guess I will have to figure out something to make that work. I got pics of all the things we have been missing. Cup holders, headliner, behind the seats, etc. The trunk pops with the remote and with a button under the lip of the license plate holder. The trip computer was a trip. It has all those goodies as stated in a post last week. The tire pressure monitor looks to compute off wheel spin. There were only readings while car was moving.
I think the reason the wheel pressure monitors only work when the car is moving is because they use piezoelectric power and therefore need motion to have power. Was the tire pressure monitor just an idiot light or the actual number in PSI??

If you did physically try, I hope you tried with a Tour Bag.
Also, I had a Nissan employee tell me that there will be a commercial showing a bag fitting. Commercial is some kind of joint thing with Callaway.
Does it tell you the actual tire pressure or does it just have an idicator saying one is low? Did you try the shifter even while parked to see how the throws felt? Did it seem like a long clutch? Was it tight? I can't wait to see the rest of the pics.
I did not drive it I just hung on. The clutch felt like a new car clutch should nothing special. The shifter was nice and precise, a little clicky though. NO one stated it was better than any other shifter, but I understand they if they want to hold on to their opinions until later.
Does it have a shift light at redline or does it come on at some lower RPM for fuel economy? If it's the latter.. that's annoying as hell! And how about the tire pressure monitor; idiot light or actual pressures?

real close to readline. . . right before the limiter kicks in. By the way it is quick. If I had to pull a number out of the air, lets say if one want to go 0-60 as fast as one could they would be doing it in 5.5 seconds :-)
Thanks to you bbray, I had some idea of what was going on at my first meeting when this topic came up. I guesss this is why I was invited along. I did sleep last night but it will be tough from now until September.
Some of the pics I was hesitant to post because I do not want to ruin any of the magazines shots but go here for a cool shot.
