Its on the game i didnt drive one in person but i finally did on the game it also has good handling lol it looks just like it also. Check it out gamers if you do play them im 18yrs old no ones to old for games.
Hell, I'm 34 and still playing games. Gran Turismo 3 on Playstation 2 has a prototype Z, but it won't let you drive it . . . says its not for sale. Does anyone know how to unlock that baby? It looks sweet.
You have 2 options to access the Nissan Z Concept car in GT3:A-Spec:
Get all Gold in the International B License Testing
or
Amateur League: GT World Championship, the Z concept car is one of the 4 cars that you can possibly win

Great, thanks. I'm going home tonight to do the Championship. I have my Ruf to about 600 horsepower now and can beat almost anyone. However, I do horrible on those license tests with just a keypad controller. Thanks for the info.
I have a 350z in GT3. Fun stuff, only comes in the protype color though. I modified it out though. I forgot the actualy hp its pushing out. Doesn't handle all that well though. I probaly should do some suspension tunning though.

I was disappointed with the Z concept in GT3. Felt too stiff. But I did get to mod it out to over 500hp. Fun stuff!!
For those who have played both SegaGT 2002 and GT3, which do you like better? Why?

I got Sega GT 2002 about two 1/2 weeks ago. The 350Z looks very accurate to the real thing, just as the other cars. If you were to see a clip of the cars racing on television, it would be hard to tell that it was just a game.
Anyway, on GT 2002, the 350Z is rated at only about 260 hp, and it's at least 100 lbs. heavier than the 300ZX. But for some reason, it can still handle better on the tracks. I got tired of getting smoked by the SC 430, so I reset the game and got the 300ZX. Still had trouble keeping up with 350Z and SC 430, but after building it up to about 460 hp and upgrading the suspension, I was finally able to smoke both cars (barely).
If you want to see what the 350Z looks like in real life, but can't find one anywhere, play GT 2002. It's very realistic.

Sega GT is more of a sim than Project Gotham. Gotham is more arcade-y with more drifting and style involved. Sega GT focuses on driving the line and winning the race. But it is must have for the X-Box IMHO.
If anyone is up for some time attack challenges, here are some times for the 350z that I have earned so far. I modded it to a modest street-spec racer with 328HP, not some featherweight 618HP turbo Z, even though that was hella fun. I tuned it with racing exhaust, port and polish, original tuned suspension, racing tires, racing brakes, and CPU upgrade only.
Falcon Wing A 58.648
Falcon wing B 53.009
Iron City 1.33.216
Blue Steel 1.34.076
Tornado Pass 1.24.442
Knights speedway 1.55.542
Green Castle 1.12.728
Wild Country 2.12.848
If anyone wants to challenge, post your times with the same tuned vehicle.

you know the GT3 Pro has to get in on this convo!!!! The 350z in gt3 is hilarious. that damn game was the first of any public release to get the hp right!!! when you frist get the car it has 275 hp. change the oil(changin oil upps hp for some reason) and you got 287 hp!!! thats funny. its a great car too, it only has 601 hp when fully tuned(runs low 11's w/ that hp), and it can run very close times as compared to the 1000 hp supra, 900 hp z06, and 1100 hp vr-4 (on the track)! but it cant beat em in that game, maybe gt 4 will have the street version.
anyway, i hope that game works good on the modem commin out for ps2. then maybe i can live up to my personal title! hint on playin gt3 for starter: go thru and get all gold in the first couple of tests, dont buy a car w/ the money they give you! use that to mod your trophy car! i have 100% of that game done, and all gold in the tests except for one easier test just to prove i didnt use a game shark. i love that game. also another hint. the red shift gear light will blink when you need to change gears(manual) and will also tell you when and how long to hit the break
. anyway, hope you guys get to drive an indy car. theyre the best!
The full name for GT3 is Gran Turismo 3, and yes, it's for the PS2. GT3 Pro is MythralZ's tag line.
It's been awhile since I played, but there's a way to make sure you get the prize car you want in championship series that are made up of multiple races. You make sure you win the first few races, saving after each win. If it's a 5 race series, you probably have to win the first 3 or even 4 races. Then, enter the last race, then quit. You should still have enough points to win the championship. If you don't get the prize car you want, in this case the Z, reload the game and keep entering and quitting the last race until you get the car you want. Again, I can't remember if the GT World Championship has multiple races in it.
Good luck!

Sega GT versus Project Gotham, I say Sega GT hands down. I don't think you can even mod a car in Gotham, I have only played it awhile and the points system on that game just blows in my opinion. I like the fact on Sega GT you can burn your Fast and Furious CD (Works with any music CD) to the hard drive and play it while doing the quarter mile and during racing.
I think Gran Turismo A Spec is better than Sega GT overall but I think they both have a lot to learn from each other. And I still think Gran Turismo 2 is the best all time racing simulation just because you can add "racing modifications" to your cars and totally change the look of the car, adding spoilers and wings and such. Just my opinion!

I agree that Gran Turismo 2 is the best all-time racing sim. They have a lot more cars in the game than Gran Turismo 3. In GT2 I have a great red, white, and blue racing 240Z. Now, if GT3 had a 240Z and a way to change the color of the 350Z (I realize that when it came out the color weren't known), I probably would like it more.
For Gran Turismo 4 they game designers are going to try to include every car ever made, via download over the Internet. Now that would be great!

GT3's car physics are much better though! I do love the racecar puchase feature of GT1&2 and I hope they bring that back in 4.
I know they're making GT3 for the PC. I get the feeling you'll start seeing lots of skins and models poping up when it comes out.

Aside from the inclusion of the 350Z, how does Sega GT 2002 compare to Project Gotham Racing? Is it a worthy addition to my already motorsports-heavy game collection?
Sega GT 2002: I like to think of it as a racing/rpg game. You only get to start with a small amount of cash, so there aren't that many cars that you can buy. You win money buy winning events, which you can use to tune your own car, or buy a new one. You can also win cars in competitions. You also have to repair your car when parts go down. I really like the way that the cars are in a garage, it kind of makes you feel like you're working on your own car. As you get further in the game, you get access to more parts and cars. But to get further, you have to pass liscense tests, similar to GT3. Oh yeah, you can sell cars on GT 2002, set your price, and place it in your yard for people to see. Just like real life, it won't sell right away, it may take a few days or more.
Project Gotham Racing: I'm playing this right now. Not nearly as many cars, and they can't be tuned, but it's still very fun to play. You start out with a few cars to choose from. To get better cars, you have to earn points called kudos, which can be very difficult. This game is definitely more of a challenge, and the cars handle much more realistically.
Overall, I really don't have a favorite. I love GT 2002 for all of the cool cars and being able to tune them, but the driving in Project Gotham Racing is more realistic, and it has the cool exotic cars. I would recommend buying both at the same time, but you'll still have the same amount of fun with either game. I guess most of the people on this site would go with GT 2002, since it has the 350Z. One thing's for sure though, having the steering wheel is a must. I haven't even used the game controller on my Xbox yet.
