Default Wierd thing happend at dealer today

i brought my 1500 mile g35 into a dealer to get the 1st service / oil change. I brought 5 bottles of mobil 1 5w-30 and told them to just charge me for labor/ filter. The guy comes to me and tells me he did it for me but next time to buy 6 bottles cause the engine needs 5 1/2 bottles. WTF??? I asked what he did then if i only had 5 he said he put the rest in with synthetic oil? i said mobil 1? he said yea.. I highly doubt that. SO NOW I NEED TO GET IT RE-DONE cause its really pissing me off knowing its messed up.. question is where in Santa Monica / Los Angeles area can i bring my car and get it serviced without any problems....

I doubt that they messed it up. If that is what he put in then I am sure that that is right.

Thats funny cause I thought they only took 5 qts. I would be more worried about that! You dont want to over fill!

Also, mobil 1 mixes just fine with any other oil. You shouldn't be worried about half qt of other oil in it. Better check your oil level and find out why they needed more than 5????? I always have something left in the 5th bottle.

The Z holds slightly under 5 quarts, I wouldn't go back to that shop if I were you.

I would have asked to see that 6th bottle that he claimed to use.

Do you really have a G35TT? If so, don't you have a different oil pan? What is the capacity of a non-stock oil-pan?

you should just change your own oil.

I had the dealer change the oil in my s2000 a long time ago and they forgot to tighten the oil plug. As I was pulling out of the parking lot I it came loose and dumped the oil.

Since then I will never go to a dealer for minor work. Because its not like their having their master mechanics change oil, it's always some 15 yr old thats fanasizing about their hot math teacher.
