Anyone know how to raise the idle witout going to the dealer?
I would love to get it up by 200 - 250 rpms and get it to idle at about 800. The car idles a bit rough at times and the 200+rpm increase would make a huge difference. So does anyone have any knowledge about how to do this? Does it need to be programmed into the ecu (thats my guess)? If it does need to be done by the dealer how much did it cost you to do it (if you have) Thanks fellas, Peace.
Not sure it can be done??? A bit off the subject.... We are currently having a problem ourselves raising the idle on cars w/pro date 10/03 and later. Seems there is a software issue with the dealers consult systems that wont let us do it on 04 cars. We just did a set of JWT cams the other day on an 04 and guess what..... can't up the idle. T/S, Jim Wolf or Nissan don't seem to know how to fix this. We are promised a new software program by the end of the month. BTW: If someone just drives in and asks us to change timing and idle, we charge $40.00

As for why, sometimes if you install CAI, fluwheels.... you need to raise the idle a bit.
