Confused. The first 240Z was 69 right? So......hows the 05 a 35 year aniversary addition? Hmmmm. Maybe it was 70.

"The Datsun 240Z was introduced in 1969 as a 1970 model..."

I don't think non-refundable deposits are illegal here. They aren't the only dealership in town but they are the only one that's willing to order and VPP a Z.

It would be really dumb of Nissan to release that picture on a US market brochure and not release it in the US. Just my .02.

Tony: Any updates on what you learned at work today?

Good news though. I e-mailed another contact that I knew from the "old days" and while he doesn't work with the Z any longer, he is still with Nissan. He seems to think that the yellow WILL be coming to the US.

One for your side!

I like the Yellow 350Z and the wheels do look really nice, but I like my Torch Red Z06 even better. My sister is looking to buy one of these and I am looking forward to driving it and seeing how it performs. Toodle-oo!!

Yellow looks gross. It works on the exotics due to the angular nature of the cars.

I think all of the Z's with flakes really show off the car.

Isn't Mr.Kay the only one right now with a Yellow Z? Also doesn't it have flakes? Maybe its the image but the yellow looks flat.

tonylittell, I would be careful posting publically about "inside info" as I received a slight reprimand from NNA for something I posted on here. Seems someone in California wasn't happy with me, but it makes me feel good that they read the forums to gather enthusiasts views.

However, since it is on the 2005 brochures I feel that it is fine to openly discuss it now. FYI the yellow is avaliable for order, and yes it is coming to the US.

Also on the 35th edition, It says 1/05 which means it will be manufactured in 1/05. Look for them in february. They will be ordered the first week of december (good christmas present!). I have yet to see any official info besides the pic in the brochure, and Dr. Bonz, I am that rare salesman who happens to be an enthusiast as well!
