Just had a meeting with the vp of marketing at Nissan USA in Torrance this morning for our magazine. She informed us that the 35th anniv z will be coming out in Nov-Dec. Performance mods are not likely, but there will be some cosmetic enhancements.

Where has it said period any Z will be getting a HP bump? I'm just curious on that.

Hammy, I seriously doubt their will be any HP mods to the anni edition of the car.

 

unless nissan has magical powers the aftermarket has been hard pressed to get a solid 10hp with simple boltons which is the most they'd mess with.

if they did make the anniversary edition basicly a nismo car, itd still be 10hp at best and a body kit; cool paint, and a badge here and there, and theyd charge an ungodly price, probably nearing 50k.

 

if it is the tracks that get the special rims, i wonder if they will be rays also?

 

if they can get 295HP out of a G35coupe the 350Z should have atleast 295HP.. if not 300HP.

The 350Z is around same price as the g35coupe. but doesnt have any luxury features. So the 350Z should be faster. It will be stupid if the G35Coupe is faster than the 350z

 

^ most definately.. who would have ever thought that a coupe VERSION of a sports car would be faster than the actual sports car... with the same engine and everything. If that happens, that's just pathetic.

For all we know, that yellow Z is a photoshop done by some poor confused soul who cant choose between a Z or RX8.

 

Get the Z. And second went to dealer today. And they are getting 2 in October. Plan on being there with camera in hand.

 

I do not think that it will be coming out that soon. Nissan told me 'no plans in the near future'. November is pretty close. BTW, the pic you posted in the other thread said January, which I don't think you listed where you got it from. Anyway, all this is pretty much speculation until some hard facts come out (i.e. nissannews.com).
