For those that haven't seen my other post with the NNA Service Bulletin, here's the link

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=10625

I think Nissan put the "drive the car" part in there as a procedure to follow to make sure the problem is the same throughout the series of amps that are already out there. I think my dealer trusts my judgement about what the amp is doing. I wouldn't mind demonstrating it to them however...just don't need them driving the car needlessly

I just got off the phone with my salesman, and he had the bulletin, asked me if it happened when driving or just when sitting still, then he ordered the replacement amp for me and will install it when it arrives. Hopefully this will fix it

All I did was go to the dealer, told him about the problem with the Bose system and he checked with NNA and the amp was ordered. He claims the amp is built by Clarion for Bose. I am on a trip at the moment, but hope its available when I get home Monday.

Default VIN affected by service bulletin...

my dealer writes " Nissan
recently issued a service bulletin that addresses the
Bose audio pilot. Specifically, it addresses vehicles
manufactured prior to 27SEP, vehicle identification
numbers JNQZA34E83T005616 through JN1ZA34D63T104720.

Succinctly, service departments along with the
customer have to make a determination that there is a
problem. Service will thereafter order the part, and
affect the repairs."

I will be calling soon to make my appointment as my VIN and build date applies.

Cool

I had my amp replaced yesterday. They damn near had to disassemble the hatch section to get to it. No more auto level adjustments but the manual adjustments seem to have less effect on the sub than they did before. Bottom line...the system sounds better by virtue of the fact that it stays put but I still can't consider it an 'upgraded system'. Thanks NNA for getting to this problem quickly. but a car this great needs a better sound system...please.

Mine Manufactirubg date is Sep 17th (and VIN is above the one listed). I took my car to dealer and they ran this netwrk check over the nisaan servers in Cali. He showed me the print out that says no services or fixes for my car.

Is it the way? if my VIN shows up for "fix needed", then dealers will take action?

What is the proper answer to tell the dealer about the volume changing either when driving or sitting still? I assume one answer will get a new amp and the other won't.
