Unhappy Help needed...how much is my 2003 Z worth??

I've been trying to sell my loaded touring z on auto trader for about 3 weeks now with no luck. I've been asking 28k. The car has only 6200 miles on it and it's in perfect condition. I paid over 38k OTD for this car in Jan 03' and spent at least 4500 in mods. Am I asking too much? Is it the mods that are making it difficult to sell? Any honest input is appreciated. Here's my car (selling it with the mods):

I found this loaded 03' touring z for 22,800, only 11k miles...could this be legit? A dealer offered me 25K for mine last week..

I thought the depreciation on the Z was supposed to be pretty good?? what's the deal here?

When I traded my 03 DB Touring, they got it for $25,500.00 that is the best that they can do, if you have carmax they might be better. The Z are hard to sell since there's alot of them.

Generally speaking, trying to sell a sports car right before winter is often a little more difficult.

Also: People aren't generally looking for sports cars when the economy is not booming and gas prices are high.

You need more exposure, try the philadelphia inquirer. I rarely see an ad for a Z last more than a week in the inquirer. Your Z is a lot cleaner than most. You might want to lose the tint to attract an older age group.

Mods make it sound like the car has been raced, even if it hasn't been.

I bet if you offer to trade somebody with a lesser model, an enthusiast for example, they would trade for their car+cash. I would seriuosly consider my ethusiast+$5k to upgrade to a loaded touring. That way you get $28k for your car and an easier car to sell.

Your car looks real good and at that price it will go eventually. I would have jumped all over your car if I would not have bought my Z 1 week ago. I got a 2003 Silver Track with 6900 miles for 27990. I love my track but really would like it better if it had your burnt orange leather seats and your rims and tires. Looks real good. Why are you selling it? Good luck. BEN

I am inthe car business and I think the price you are asking is more than fair. Although the car has low miles and the options are right, there are a lot of used Zs to be had. When the market is flooded demand is down. Even worse this car has a smaller market than other cars because of its lack of praticality.... it fits into the "toy" market. Be patient you will sell the car but it might take some time. There is a buyer out there for everything.
