Default VINs for touring and track models

Here's a present for you guys: VINs from the cars which were displayed in Buena Park, CA on 6/13/02

Touring Chrome silver, leather seats, navi, bose
JN1AZ34EX3T100047

Track Daytona Blue, Carbon Cloth seats, navi, standard audio
JN1AZ34EX3T100033

Although my birthday is 1 hour and 15 minutes away, I got an early present... I sat in two 350Zs today.. I'm a lucky man.

Hmmm.... "JN1AZ34EX3T100033 "

Z34????

84 - 89 300ZX = Z31

90 - 96 300ZX = Z32

What happened to the Z33?

Interesting at the very least. Maybe I'm just over analyzing. Does a Z32 have "Z32" in this position of the VIN? Anyone?

Default just a guess, but

I don't think those numbers will help much. My guess is they are pre-production prototype numbers or something to that effect, since only the last two digits are different from each other. There should be some other differences, since one is a track and one is a touring.

JN1AZ34EX3T100047
^^ I always thought that those letters refer to the state the car is delivered to. For example my 95 Maxima's VIN starts with JN1CA...

take care,

all the letters stand for something except the last ones that are the serial number. All nissans start with JN, J for Japan, N for Nissan, Just like all Chevrolets start with 1G

Well, I just forwarded them to my insurance company for a quote. We'll see what happens.
