If I get a regular Z, it will be the AT. I am hearing good things about that tranny, and I will not have to fight that battle with my wife on getting the car.

If I get the Nismo, it will do a MT if no DCT is available. The Nismo would be worth fighting battles over...

I have a feeling that a lot of people will be buying the auto considering the 7AT, paddle-shifters addition, and more than likely, will be faster than the 6MT.

The automatic as I have yet to lose to a manual with the same mods as mine. I just get out of the hole faster.

If you want to drive a sports car, please....get a manual. People who drive an auto sports car are dumb.

you get out of the hole quicker 'cause of those nice and meaty 295's. I'll take both out for a drive but am leaning towards the 7AT. Although I am from the old school of thought that a sports car needs a manual, it is 2008.

I choose manual because that is what I enjoy more. Frankly, Nissan could offer an auto that shifted so fast it took me 30ms back in time each time it shifted and I would still choose the manual. I'm not competing in the car, there are no races to be won that matter, so I couldn't care less about loosing a few tenths shift time if it means adding a few smiles to the drive.

I would like a MT, but I also think about resale value and that a MT might be harder to sell in a few years...

Ok I Respect the Z as the car that it is. So I'm not going to down talk automatic i mean people who drive automatic cars might simply find manual to hard to drive, or its a real pain in the ***, some people might just not have the dedication to a manual tranny because of the technicality behind it, also maybe some factors come into play like hills, traffic, and a rougher ride, or they can just be lazy as F*ck. But let me tell you this if you want to have more fun and actually feel the true power of the car get a manual. Plus any "serious" tuner who sees you with an automatic will laugh in your face. So personally I've driven manual all my life never once had an automatic car and I never will. So manual all the way. Oh yea and I live in NYC with hills and a hell of alot of traffic and **** so no excuses!

P.S: Auto drivers stop saying you bought an automatic for performance reasons because if you were serious you'd learn to drive stick and join everyone in having fun!!!!!
