Even the nada and kelly say trade in on a 03 touring with 104 000 is worth 11500 and the pp is 13500 so fuq them! I mean the 240 are selling stock for 4500 upto 9000! are cars are well worth more than people are saying! Screw that ish!! so i guess are 350z are worth less than most 240sx!! Sorry had to vent thanks!! hahaha
When the market gets better, the car will be two years older. The value will be the same or probably worse.

OP,

if this is something your serious about, your best bet is to sell your car on the outside, you will definitely get more than the crap-tastic 9800 they are offering and who knows, you may get lucky and find an enthusiast that gives you what you want due to your mods.......

then with cash in hand (don't tell the dealer this), go and negotiate the best price you can for the 370 you want....

don't bust out any more cash, or agreed upon down payment until your sitting down in the finance office with "hard numbers" that they cant back down from...(well, at least with out them being total douches)....

Even better, shop around and get your own financing before going through the dealer's financing. They can add percentage points to the bank's offer, that you'll never know about before they tell you what APR you can get, to make more profit.

I just got a direct internet quote from a local Nissan dealership:
$29,100 - 370Z base MB manual
$15,000 - trade in for '05 Z Roadster 40k miles

If I get my own financing, this deal would have me paying about $100 more a month, which seems tempting, since the only way for me to keep up with a 370Z performance wise would be to FI my '05, which can be $$$ - including downtime and maintenance expenses.

If I can get close to this with the 370ZR, it'll be a done deal.

$26.7K is a steal for a 370z.. but they are jacking you on your 04 hence the deal... sell your 04 and buy the 370z w/ sport package...
