370Z is a better car end of thread.

Enthusiast - 3,346 lbs.
Touring - 3,400 lbs. (Grand Touring is 4 pounds more)
Nismo - 3,352 lbs.

^^ Proves it weighs the same as the 350z 08+. Slap the touring model on the 370z and that puts it over 3400lb.

The ones in the table are dry weight and the 370z has a full tank of gas according to Forged, so it is not 100% an equal comparison.
According to Nissan a base Z should be 3,232 while a touring should be 3,278.

By changing the A-pillar and Hatch to Aluminum aswell as the Doors

There is 100lbs of your weight savings there........if you really want to get into details the 370Z is more around 300lbs lighter.... but some of that is negated due to the increase in saftey standards/equipment

You cant argue with the facts........ by the way the weights that are claimed are dry weights no fuel in them that is were the other 114lbs comes in so that brings the total to 214lbs lighter so far

and if you take 114 minus what they show in the picture you get 3200 so that means that have a full tank of gas when the put it on the scale....

The 370z also got more crash safety stuff which is why it gained the weight back. Again my NISMO weighed 3324 with 3/4 of a tank of gas left and everything in the car. That car weighed 3323 with a full tank and was a base sport model.

Facts are facts. It doesn't weigh less and doesn't weigh more.

I am going by actual weighs of the cars that were weighed. And that is straight up accurate numbers that you can't deny.

I've come to the conclusion, that Solo-350Z is like Shirley Phelps-Roper.

Don't bother referencing facts. He'll still live in his delusional world where the HR Z is God.

I am referencing hard core facts of what people have weighed the cars at and not Nissan's fudged numbers like they did with the GT-R.

What #'s did they fudge on the GT-R?

As I recall every test 0-60 3.2-3.5 sec

11.5-11.6 1/4mile

And those are hard core facts I know 6 people with them

You seriously think that numbers taken from a truck scale are more accurate than the manufacturers numbers. You must have down's syndrome or something.

but we all know that all truck scales are the same and are calibrated to within 110% of spec right?

Guaranteed, if we had 10 videos posted at drag strips of a 370Z vs 350Z HR, and the 370Z won all 10 times, you'd blame many variables and say the HR can still win if driven by an F1 driver.

actually whatever lane the HR was running, had a headwind of at least 20mph and the reason why the 370 wasnt affected was because the HR blocked that head wind for the 370 and the 370 was actually drafting the HR therefore it allowed the 370 to slingshot ahead of the HR.

Nissan did not fudge any #s with the GT-R.

The 370Z is lighter then the 350Z it replaced. Compare equally equipped models of an 08 350Z and an 09 370Z and the 370Z will be lighter. It dosnt matter what an 03 350Z weighed in at.

370Z-- With full bolt-ons I/H/HFC/E Makes an additional 35-45whp with out tune proven on several dynos
370Z--Making 340whp with basic boltons very common

Hope that clears some stuff up

DAN

your math is a little off, the 370z has roughly 265-270whp stock. With the gain of 45whp from the "basic bolt ons" plus a tune, thats only 315whp so your fourth line doesn't quite add up

Cool. prove it then with people actually weighing the cars. A Base 370z vs a Base 350z. I will wait till that happens.

I like how the facts have been posted with pictures to back them up yet there's still discussion on weight...
