Another pointless thread. Yes the 370Z is a faster car.

If someone will let me borrow one at the track, I will prove it.

Last I checked I said slower than "MY" Z. Obviously you can't read.

And like others have said, it was a good run due to conditions I was running in.

https://my350z.com/forum/drag/437214...rep-still.html Picking up 24.6 mph in the last 660 ft is a lot. Oh and the same night a 370z was running. The 370z stock 6mt, was only able to pull of 14.0-14.4s at 101-104s that night. I think he got one 13.9. He was running slower times than me that night.

I realize it was at a less than desirable track and believe had it been at one of the 3-4 God tracks (with the negative DA's) on the East Coast, that run would have been in the 12's. I have no doubt a 370Z would give a C5 a very good run for the money. It will lose some races, but it will also prevail. What's really cool is, from what I've read, the 370Z responds to mods about as well as LS series motors do. Something the 350Z came up short (talking about all-motor mods), unless one is willing to spend alot of money. So I'm looking forward to some bolt-on battles as well.

My only contention was the earlier claim they would be able to keep up with C6's and beat C5's as a matter of fact. So, maybe I jumped the gun a little too early and will change what I earlier stated. C5 vs 370Z = driver's race.

Have any HR's at your track, that you know of, ran a stock time as fast or faster than the 370Z time I posted?

You know as good as I do. But same night is the best comparison. Same conditions. You can't deny that.

So instead of bench racing, why dont you 370z nut huggers, take your cars out and race a stock hr, unless your scared? oh and ofcourse, video to prove. This would stop this kind of topics from poping up in the future.
+1

I know for a fact my DE can smoke C6 Z06's all day long. The new 370Z VHR is crap.

Default people keep forgeting the 370z has a 3.7 final drive

I want to see what the result would be if the 370z had a 3.5 final drive instead of the 3.7 it has stock, or possibly have an HR Z with a 3.7 final drive, and see what happens.

I always mention that, it's lighter, has more power, and more gear. Of course it's faster. I think an HR with 3.9 gears should be an even run on paper.

350z -> <-370z
there problem solved

i can't believe the hr guys are still fighting over this. we all know a heavily modified hr can beat a stock 370z and a stock hr can't. so isn't it getting ridiculous how some/most of the hr guys keep defending their heavily modified hr's against a bone stock 370z? Cuz we all know that if you go mod for mod the 370z will still kick the hr's butt.

so to quote:

Again get this through your head. The 370z does not weigh less. It weighs over 3300 lb, while the 350z is anywhere between 3100-3350 depending on the year and trim.

But you don't have the almighty baby-punching HR motor, do you?

Ok here it goes I have read through the 6 pages of this thread and it seems that there is quite a debate on whats true/false

370Z-- Proven Track time for a Stock AUTO 13.2 on several occasions
370Z-- Gains on average 17whp from Stillen Gen 3 intaks Proven on several occasions on different dynos
370Z-- With full bolt-ons I/H/HFC/E Makes an additional 35-45whp with out tune proven on several dynos
370Z--Making 340whp with basic boltons very common

Hope that clears some stuff up

And the 370z has been weighed at 3350 for a base with sport. So in reality it doesn't weigh less. Thank you for posting the figures. The 03-05 350z were even lighter than that.

Mine weighed 3324 at the track.

Except that number is wrong as the 370z forum proved.
