I'm not satisfied yet. Nissan needs to stay on top of the Z car. The company looks like its failing. With the flop 2013 cars coming out. 13 altima looks decent. Sentra looks plain and corolla like. The new pathfinder looks like a mini van shuttle bus for moms.

that looks horrorendous, Needs to have more of a pointed front end like the ole skool 240s back in the day. Plus has to many round shapes to it. If Nissan plans to excel in the future they have they're work cut out for them. Tho they have succeded in a affordable supercar (godzilla) maybe they can turn the next Z platform into a success. But also in the same sence the Z has always been a target against the Camaro and Mustang, so to completely change their target competition to compete against cars like the BRZ and the FRS which is in a smaller class I'm not sure I'm fully on board. I, like most others would love to see the next 400Z or 380Z and see what they can do to make them more efficient as they are doing that with todays modern trucks. You don't always need a smaller engine to always get better mileage. Throwing out the old idea that GM had with their displacement on demand, I know on some of their trucks with the V8 if you were in cruising speed it would kick down to 4 cylinders and switch back into 8 cylinders when you needed it. Now granted I dont believe GM perfected it, but if Nissan were able to perfect it just enough we could have a 400z V8 that could get close to 30+mpg and not have to sacrifice cabin space by going the smaller route. Plus how about a 7 speed manual?? Or... a true overdrive 6spd manual in comparison with the corvette?? My buddies vette has gotten over 30 mpg going from Minneapolis to Chicago all the time. But I do understand they want to attract to more affordable audiances. Which is why they need to make more models just like how the mustang/camaro has 3 models to choose from,

Titan? Been the same for what, 7 years now? Ford has gone thru 2 iterations since on the F150. Frontier? Same deal. Been the same for 7 years. Time for a freakin' rework.

Looks, the front looks like the designer is still working out the kinks, looks too concept car ish, the back looks sick . The specs, meeh a 4 banger turbo = crap. Not to mention working with the motor will prob not be easy, since I have read in several articles that it might be an e-motor, or e-assist motor.

 

lol yes it plays tricks on your mind. i have to force myself to get one cuz there are no other sports cars out.


They need to hire some stronger designers. Starting surveying customers- because what they want is not what the crowd is roaring for.

They need to go back to the 80s drawing board with fun maximas, 240sx etc. They need to fix the titan and frontier. Stop making goofy looking SUVS like the path, rouge and the gay murano. The murano looks like a jelly bean.

anyways i will await the 380z i hope they make the exhaust in the middle.

 

Hopefully those artist sketches are wild speculation and that info "leaked" from that Nissan exec is just disinformation. Cuz that artist rendering looks like a Porsche had butt sex with an Audi TT wearing an Amuse front bumper.

 

^ exactly, the car looks too concept to be final production model. Also given that articles are not sure what engine the car will have, also leads me to think its not set in stone. There may be hope yet..
