Next time FI 350z/370z vs 5.0 with boltons

 

Hello news to keyboard warriors I was aligned up against Krider Racing, a very reputable racing family. not only that, but the mustang i ran, had full exhaust, tune, intake, and RACE PREPPED SCCA Suspension and Tires. guy had brand new Hoosier slick. that he had time to prep the car for weeks and months in advanced.

I was approached while at dinner at sema. if i was up for the challenge. I took a car that had side damage, no engine or trans, no suspension, or aligment.

Put a motor in it, replaced fenders quarter panels, had it sprayed, installed an engine, transmission, headers exhaust intake, towed it to Specialty Z for a Dyno Tune, smoked up the Dyno room with the Oil Burning warranty motor i received, took it back home put it back on the lift installed suspension on on Thursday, drove it out to OC to test the reliability of the setup installed Graphics THURSDAY NIGHT drove it back home technically Friday morning, took a nap and went racing that same Friday morning. Placed 3rd place unofficially and 4th place officially among other newer more powerful cars, GTR', Porche's vipers, M3's you guys have no idea how much props i got from real racers, that where there for being able to put a car together so fast and so last minute for something so big. Rob Krider himself could not believe what i pulled it off. Rob Took 4 laps to be able to beat our lap time while we did 1 Fool around lap, 1 Drift lap, and just 1 Serious lap. yeah im sure we could have got a better time, but im not gonna go into that. Could of, Should of, Didn't oh well we had fun. it was my driver's 2nd time driving this car, the first time being on the freeway to the event.

no excuse this guy has been driving his car for years, he is a moderator / admin whatever it is. he did exactly what he should have done and represented this forum very very VERY well. you guys are a bunch of key board warriors, chumps and internet ******. its the main reason I am staying away from this forum.

Some one that has more experience with there z and track experience should do the next forum wars. YOU guys are making 350z's look BAD!

sigh, bardabe. it's funny how far a little respect and being a man goes, huh? if you have the forum behind you, maybe they won't grill you as hard for losing, so long as you keep it classy? the guy didn't do as well as you did in season 1 and I am still much happier with the outcome. if you're going to be the representative for a group of folks, it's in your best interest to man up and keep it classy.

nobody really needs to hear about the excuses and the boo hoo's. you accepted the circumstances and did what you could with them, and made yourself look bad as well as the forum.

the real source of the problem was that nobody knows who you are, and some how you were selected to (poorly) represent the forum. that's an issue on RP's part. it shouldn't have ever happened - but unfortunately history repeats itself and no one was stepping up to go do it - the only credit I can give you is that you gave it a shot.

 

I love this forum and the nut sucking that goes on no wonder why many reputable shops hate this place and work on other forums.

Whatever, I threw my Z into the selection process and they passed me over. Oh well, I'd of been willing to break my stuff to try to win, but oh well.

Entaille had it right. No one knew who you were and thats why there was an upset about you representing the forum.

 

Sounds like nissansource and bardabe are butthurt. Here's some advice, GTFO if you don't like this forum as we don't need you here anyway. Also, if you look in this thread we all know Val was going to get his butthole raped by the stang, that's why many of us tried to get other forum members/cars in the mix but Royal Purple wasn't having it (hidden agenda anyone?). In the end we got our *** raped but at least it was done with class.

 

that was a classy *** 16 second quarter mile, I'm glad your happy about this whole thing. My mothers Altima runs a faster quarter mile with her behind the wheel, and groceries in the trunk. last time i checked a stock Z33 was supposed to be in the 14's. but anyway glad your happy about that half *** representation and nut swinging. i put a car together in 4 days and my driver did much better than that tool bag. there is a reason royal purple picked us to be the season opener, it was the best run in the season. everyone agreed to it at the event. Me and Nissan source contacted the admins and mods for some support and noone gave a **** they failed as a forum to support us. either way my only regret from this whole forum ordeal was representing this forum. what gets me is that i put a car and a good race together for you guys and everyone to see and got shitted on badly. but a "administrator/moderator" that has had his car for years and had plenty of time to prepare to put a half *** show together. couldn't even do that i think they gave him too much credit by saying he took a knife to a gun fight, i think he took a spoon to a gun fight. i think I took a knife to a gun fight and almost killed the dude with the gun as Royal Purple and Rob himself said. i think they even mentioned it online and this forum a few threads back.

All you're doing is flaming. Val's really not much of a track guy. Seen the Z up close and personal, things a beauty but I doubt it's seen a single lap at a track prior to that.

You see man, it's all about how you represent yourself as you are coming off as quite crass. However, I agree with you on a few things and one of them is Val had no business going up against that stang. Also, I don't know in what capacity the forum had the say so in getting the car picked but if it was a good amount then they failed as well. The truth is a 370Z should have been in this race (still out powered but had a better chance) but where the hell were the 370z's when we needed them? I still give Val credit for having the ***** to step up but hopefully next year we get a car better suited for this event. Third times a charm right?

 

I agree with you to an extent. The reason the bitter taste is from how the people on this forum came out and talked soo much donkey. They had no idea what went down from start to finish. I can also attest that a 370 or a 350 prepped could have taken this car on. You dont need horsepower to win a race..... A half put together 350z took forum wars season one by storm and all people saw was the video editing. Either way reference all car times on paper and understand the true meaning of a PROPERLY put together Oil burner 350z take on the GORILLA competition...........

Either way this forum used to be good. just wanted to get some closure from this super fun event royal purple puts together for fans. You guys can talk smack on them but without them what are you? a forum with no recognition.

 

It was the ARC intake that kept this Z from running down that Pony... I love the Camera just waiting for him to show up at the end.... Yah he should not have been selected to race... Royal purple needs to have 3 participants on hand till the last week to make sure they have a proper contender

They aren't vendors here, they probably have no idea who they are either. I'm sure he would much rather use a Utec or something that a Paid Vendor is selling.

 

I think he has a tune from a shop here in town, but I could be wrong.

Also, the forum didn't have much say in the selection process. I threw in to try and get on, but got passed over. The whole recruiting this was handled by a RP rep of some extent.

Either way should of been a 370 from the same year line-up, and that would not have been hard in the Houston area considering how many I've seen rolling around that are broadcasting some club or other.

Hell they could of got in touch with Z Club of Houston and we could of put 3 private cars out for sure, and even a dealer owned tuner car.

But thats neither here nor there. **** happened. It's already in the books.

 

Lol oh yah up rev doesn't pay the crappy prices here... Good for them! No excuse it didn't need to be a 370z. I pass 370z with ease in my 350z na.. The 350z was a show car? Really? I think season one car looked way better with full show and go. Subs in the back too. The guy sounds like a good guy and I know he must love his car but a 16 sec run is not something I'd want to put a name on. Second thing is he talked like his little sideways action was illest but the fact is he could have really put some effort in the runs and not drive his show car like it was gods 350z. Third If this forum really cared any car they wanted would have gotten picked up no excuse... Fact of the matter is my350z disorganization is it's own failure and not this dude Val. Man up pick a few cars if the forum wants to ***** after the fact like they always do then set aside a team of counsel to approve this ****. I'm willing to bet same thing happens next year... If forum wars comes to California I'll gladly post up the same z, gtr or evo and proudly represent a different forum. This forum doesn't deserve the **** I let out at night
