Default 370Z Roadster vs Coupe

3 years ago I joined this forum when I was trying to decide if I should buy a 350Z Roadster or Coupe. I ended up buying an '07 Roadster. Living in New England, I can count the number of times on one hand that I had the top down. I have since traded in my Z for a more "practical" high performance car, MazdaSpeed3 but after owning it for 3 months, I am planning to trade it in for a 370Z. The MS3 is okay but it's not a Z. But I've come full circle in trying to decide whether to get the 370Z Roadster or Coupe. Any opinions?

Logic states if you never used a convertible before you won't this time around. Save some money and get a coupe

???You did'nt use the Z as a top down car before, why would you buy another roadster.
In addition, its just my opinion on the design of the coupe&the roadster, the coupe's looks
is so much better. The negative on the Z roadster was the design of the top. With the 350,the rear of the top looked awful. The sides that is....just curved down. This really ruined the lines of the car.Although the 370 top design has improved(not much),there
still is not enough angle that allows the design of the top to flow with the lines of the car.I don't understand why Nissan could not come up with a better design.Several
other cars have "pop-out" wings that extend on a angle to the rear giving a clean look.
The design of the top alone would stop me from buying a roadster.
Go with the coupe.

You misunderstood....I traded in my '07 350Z for a 2012 MazdaSpeed3 because I thought I should get something more practical. But now that I have had the MS3 for a few months, I want a Z back again preferably a 370Z.

Very well put JCity! I too love the looks of the Coupe much more than the Roadster and I was never crazy about the looks of my '07 Roadster. I am leaning heavily on the Coupe and actually will be looking at a 2010 370Z Coupe w/Sport Pkg, Black Cherry this coming weekend with 13k miles. I'm hoping they don't want much more than what they will offer for my 2012 MS3 w/tech pkg that has just over 3K. They're asking 29K for the Z. My MS3 cost 27K. What kind of deal do you anticipate? Thanks!

Thanks Mannny...that seems to be the consensus as well as my decision. Will be looking at a 2010 370Z Coupe w/spt pkg this weekend. Hope it's THE ONE

I also bought a 2007 350Z roadster. I also live in New England and went through the roadster vs. coupe decision. The only time I keep the top up is if I'm riding on a highway. Otherwise, always top down when the temperature is 50 degrees or above. If it's cold, I put up the windows and turn on the heat. It is absolutely comfortable. Sometimes when it's above 90 degrees, I'll turn on the air conditioner. Again, perfectly comfortable. With the top down you get all of the sounds and smells and feeling of the outdoors. I can't imagine not having a roadster.
