Rob Fuller (ZCar Garage) was at the intro today. (In addition to his being invited to Nissan HQ a few weeks back to preview the car). Will be interesting to talk with him about it.
If you have specific questions, post or DM me and I’ll ask if I can grab 15 minutes. If anyone knows, he will. (But, he may be under non-disclosure and can’t talk about a lot but we’ll see.)
Count me as a fan of the Z35. My biggest concern is what the weight of this twin turbo wonder will turn out to be? If the curb weight of the 2021 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 is 3,882 lbs. can Nissan bring the new Z in closer to the Z34's 3,500 weight? Also, will static weight distribution of the Z35 remain close to 50/50?

I based power:weight ratio in OP in the "new Z thread" on a published weight from a few days ago, it stated 3,282# (which I didn't really believe) but today, post-reveal, Motor Trend says "3,500 estimated". Probably still low but it's not a bad number, still. P:W goes to an even 10:1 (based on estimated 350WHP/3500#), still respectable for a production sports GT.
Hey, Z fam. Making my first post in over 10 years because of this car! As a (somewhat) responsible adult now, I know buying the new Z would be a smart financial choice compared to other options. But I'm worried I might be too "jaded" to appreciate it, since my last car was a 550 HP C6 'Vette. The new Z's 0-60 time is respectable, but might still feel slow to me. How much can we infer about the tunability of this motor? Based on what we know about the VR38 in the R35, can we assume adding boost to the Z with stock internals might be possible?
