This happen to you?
I just got through washing my zr and decided to take it for a quick spin. When I got to the first left turn onto a major road, I decided to punch it hard. The next thing that I knew, I was in a drift through the corner. Not exactly what I wanted since it felt like I was about to loop.
Is the rear end prone to breaking free on a hard turn. I may have sprayed some of the tire black on the tires but dont think that I did. It didn't look like I hit sand of anything. TCS was on and it didn't seem to do anything.
All that I could do was steer into the turn and get off the gas. This is the normal mode of driving here in snow country but it was dry pavement.
Car is completely stock with 1200 miles on it.
Obviously, I need to find a skid pad where I can find when the car is going to break free : Whats the scoop?

Ya that happens to me everytime I get my car washed. Takes few mins to get tires up to temp so they stick better.... But yes if you crank the wheel and punch it the back end will swing around... In my opinion its lots of fun I always do it when I got someone in the car to give them a thrill..

I would bet that it is more related to water in the tire treads getting between the tire and the road. I ALWAYS take it easy just after I wash the car unless it has been setting for a long time.
