Default Brembo and VDC - Are they worth waiting for?

My dealer just called me. If I want the Touring Roadster with the VDC and Brembo's I have to wait 2 weeks minimum. It's somewhere in Vancouver and I'm in Ontario.

OR

I can get the Roadster without the touring package in a week tops.

Decisions, decisions.

If you have to pay an extra $3K for the Brembos, I wouldn't bother. You can get aftermarket and save some dough. Unless your driving competitively, you may find you don't need the big brakes.

Yup... went without the Touring Edition. Save myself some cash that I can spend on rims.

Brembos arent real neccesary unless you do a lot of performance or track driving, but have a much better feel then stock. The VDC is handy, especially in bad weather conditions so the car wont slide out on you.

Depending on what you are looking for, you may end up turning VDC off everytime you drive like half the guys here.

Yeah, I read up some more on the VDC, and talked with the sales manager. He was happy to get me the GT but his personal opinion was that I woudl shut it off most of the time.

Default 2005 Gt

I took delivery of a 2005 Grand Touring in early May. I am extremely satisfied with the car. I was able to find a number of GT's in the states. If you break out the wholesale price difference between the Touring and GT, I think you will pay around 800 dollars for the Brembo's and around 300 dollars for the VDC, after figuring 1135 dollars for the18' wheels. Seams like a good deal to me!

I have the 2004 touring. If I were buying now I would get the Grand touring model.

When the weather isn't great I find the VDC to be a comfort, but I usually turn it off right away upon entering the car (that and put the top down). I do wish I had the brembos though, even if just for looks.

Extra for the 18's. The roadsters come standard with 18's here in Ontario. The only extras you get with the GT are VDC and Brembo.
