cracked windshield source???
Sooo, yesterday I was going to pick up my winnings from the Derby w/ my wife when she sez "look at this huuuge crack!" And so there it is . . . . a crack from the center of the windshield just below the header going towards the base and then hooking a right. It is not visible from the driver's side unless you contort yourself due to the mirror placement. Any other ZR owners ever have this problem? I'm taking it to the dealer and telling them it shld be covered under the warranty. I don't slam the top and never abuse it so this shld not be happening.
Are you sure a small rock didnt hit on the freeway? Thats usally how cracks start... I have not heard anyone run into problems with the window cracking from body flex on the roadster..
Be cool if the did replace it under warrenty tho, but I wouldnt count on it

I Highly doubt it was anything other than road damage and it won't be covered.
I had mine replaced in my ZR by a Local Windshield company for $200, They even come to you and replace it in less than 30 Min.

i don't think mirror is cover under warranty. Great if they will replace for you but i doubt it.

I looked HARD at the windshield inside and out and there is absolutely no signs of trauma to the glass. All there is is a crack from top to bottom that remains the same width its entire length. I doubt too I will ever get this covered under warr., just wondered if anyone else heard of this.

What do I do if I have a glass claim? Can I file a glass-only claim?
AAA has a streamlined glass-only claims process. If you have Comprehensive Coverage, you will be covered for windshield replacement, but you will have to pay your deductible.

My insurer has been trying to pull all business out of NYS for the last 2 years but since I have no accidents or any tickets, they can't just dump me (NY law). If I put a claim in for windshield, that's gonna get me the dumper. Oh well, windshield is more important than the hassle of finding another insurance company!
