Or, NOT a good idea, due to the softop, and the soaps they use.

I've taken my Roadster through the touchless car wash several times and never had a problem.

Actually, I wouldnt mind washing my car all day long. This is the first awesome car that I have ever had, and have spent $$$$$ on cleaning supplies.
I towed the car home from a showroom, 7 hours in bad weather, by the time it got home it was covered with crap.
It was F'n freezing the next day, and it was killing me to see the car like that, so I thought maybe the carwash. I ended up doing the mit thing like Anthony and got her clean.
Interesting though to hear that stevem takes his through the wash.

The pressure of a touch-free carwash will be fine. I would suggest making sure you have enough clearance before lining your left side up with that steel track they have. Some of the touch-free washes here have guides high enough where they would catch on my mud-guards (even at stock height)
The high pressure car wash is NOT advised on a Z roadster. The manual was created for a reason ... to inform owners the do's and don'ts of their Z. All of you saying a touch-free is fine ... you have no idea what you are talking/typing about. HIGH WATER PRESSURE ON A SYNTHETIC CONVERTIBLE TOP IS NOT GOOD. You guys should have stuck with a coupe if you're going to give this type of advise.
Any owners saying "I've taken it through a couple of times and everything was fine" ... just remember those words. You've already done damage that won't show up immediately but give it a year or two, and you'll find out the stitching in your vert isn't as strong as you think it is.
My mom of all people owns a sebring convertible and she knows not to take it through a car wash, touchless or non-touchless.

I enjoy washing/waxing my roadster.
Black can look really good, or really really bad.
I've been trying out different products and what not, havent worked my way to zaino yet, currently using products from Adams Polishes, great stuff!
I would never ever take it through a carwash...ever. I take pride in keeping it looking like it does myself.

Also the other thing I would mention is that I've recently consulted on a Car Wash strategy for a major retailer (don't ask me why), and I've learned that touch free washes over the long run are actually harder on your vehicle than soft cloth.
To compensate for not touching the vehicle, touchfree washes use chemicals which may not be good for the synthetic top. Just somthing else to consider.

I agree with the opinions here, I would never take my roadster to any carwash. The sun is finally out this morning, temp is going to top out at 40 degrees or so, and I am about to go out and wash/Zaino my car today. It is filthy (at least to me it is) and I have been looking forward to some quality detail time for a while now.
