I have a 05 ZR and it seems like i have wind slipping in from like the passenger side somewhere and the driver side

NOW before everyone starts bashing and saying its roadster its gonna happen.

Im asking does anyone else have that or is it just me

I Don't really notice because I drive with the top down 95% of the time in California. I will pay attention next time with the top up.

enven on a really cold day like 45 degree, I still drive with the top down and crank up the heat to high, with the twin turbos, my engine generates a lot of heat.

The first thing I would check is that the windows are sealing properly into the rubber trim. The rubber trim is adjustable.

I havn't done mine in a while (but it is in the shop manual in case you want to reference it there). I believe if you just poke around a bit you will find some screws that attach the trim. Loosening these screws should alow you to move the trim forward and away from the edge of the window.

Only wind? or high-pressure water too? I think the wind is normal, especially at higher speeds. If it's water too (even just a very slight amount), then it is probably weather stripping / trim related.

Yeah....in the shop manual there is this hilarious picture of some dude spraying a garden hose at the window seal (from xx feet away under xx presure). They actualy determine specific tolerances for when water is allowed to penetrate.

At what speed ?

I've noticed increased wind penetration above 100 mph - it's a result of diverse vortex loading on disimilar surfaces with subsequent distortions and separation.

If it leaks going slow - bad. Street/highway speed - no biggie, adjust the trim. In triple figures - laws of physics prevail.

Default convert wind noise

A fair amount of wind noise seems normal in the ZR at highwar speeds (65-85), particularly with the windows down. It's not a padded triple layer type top. It's a tad easier to chat with the lady next to you with the windows up. I muuuuch prefer the top down, but not tomorrow, though, we are expecting snow in Huntsville, AL. Oh well.....

I Have Heird The Same Noise He's Talking About And It Has Nothing To Do With The Rubber Trim. I Think It Might Be A Noise At The Transmission Or Something...it May Sound Weird But When Your Driving And Hear That Noise Just Put The Car In Neutral For A Sec ,,and The Noise Stoppes ....weird I Wonder What It Is...manual Transmission ???

Mine has that wind sound when I drive it without warming it up first in the cold. it eventually goes away after like 3-5 minutes worth of driving.

I have the exact same problem. Cold day, whistling/whining noise, for a few minutes, then goes away. Doesn't that concern you? It's not a wind noise--it's directly related to the speed of the engine. The dealer had it for two weeks and couldn't figure out the problem.

Now supposedly an engineer from Nissan is going to schedule an appt to look at it, but no one has ever contacted me or the dealer to set up a time. I got a message from "Tammy" at Nissan, 866-799-1690 x1642, and every time I call her back, I get a message stating her mailbox is full.

This seems to me like a serious problem, and on top of this, I have the oil consumption issue. And my service advisor just quit today. Jesus. WTF am I supposed to do???

Tranny's being replaced tomorrow. They can't pinpoint what the problem is, but it's coming from the tranny. Current tally, Engines 2, Trannies 2.
