Should gauges be illuminated?? Daytime running lights?
Another illumination question...I have my 04 touring roadster in the garage and when I start it up, my dash/guages light up as if I turned my headlights on. It is as if I have an automatic setting on my headlight switch, and upon startup, it senses the dark conditions in the garage and turns the lights on. I am unable to check if the dash lights are on when I drive outside. Does any one else notice this? Is there a way to turn on daytime running lamps? I feel much better when these are activated in my other cars. I am suprised this car doesn't have it considering how new the car/model is, Nissan always offering cutting edge autos as well as the technology and layout of the Z. Can anyone help me with this??
Thanks
Jeff

You can adjust the brightness of your guages as well, using the buttons on the left hand side of the dash. Turning up the brightness during the day will show you that they are on in the light.

Thanks....I had the gauges up all the way on brightness but did not know that the dash is lit at all times. It is too bad that there are no daytime running lights
