Your letting your 16 year old daughter drive a Z? Err 15? No offense but if you are letting a young woman drive a 300 HP rear wheel drive sports car you should let her go out with me, i'll take care of her... lol

Seriously... WTF!?

No really on a serious note though if you do a search you'll see its been discussed a few times, and its very expensive and time consuming to install factory nav in a Z that didn't come with it. Just go aftermarket...

Wow - a Z at 15. I have a daughter who will be driving in a few years and personally, I would never let her have a car that requires some experience to drive.

Before something happens on a wet curvey road in backwoods NC, may I suggest trading it in on a Scion or a Honda. FWD is the way to go for new drivers.

You can hop up the Scion pretty well and still be a cool Dad.

Dang thats kind of asking for trouble. Rear wheel drive high power not a good combo for a young driver. Maybe an all wheel drive powerhouse would be a better choice.

The Z is not as powerful as the Vette, but would you let you daughter drive your vette all time and not worry about her?

Thanks for the advice, in most cases would agree. She has been driving the vette with no trouble for about 6 months and drives everything else with great caution. I would like to know which aftermarket radio you would suggest and where to get it installed. thanks

C CAV,

I would recommend looking at these threads as they are probably the best and least expensive option to add a hand held navigation system into the already existing cubby hole. I personllay think the third one by "HAIR" is best.

Hey, i would recommend the pioneer avic d3. it has everything you could possibly need from blue tooth, ipod interface, navigation, and dvd.

lol all the kidding aside... Perhaps you should take your daughter to some autocross or track days so she can get a respect for the car. We all agree I think that a rear drive sports car, especially one with some power is not a good first car. I don't care how good her grades or how well-mannered she acts but she will, at some point put the pedal to the right and bad things could happen.

Good luck with getting navi installed.
